Race 1 – SKY RACING MAIDEN 2 431m

 

2 Expat Corsair – checked through the first turn.

 

3 Bud's Bucks - checked through the first turn. Checked entering the back straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its near side pin and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

5 Shian Dawn - checked through the first turn.

 

7 Shian Gypsy - checked through the first turn.

1 Double Digit – shifted out rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked across heels rounding the turn into the front straight and raced wide. Trainer, S Topping advised that the Greyhound was having its 3rd race start with blinkers and has always had  a tendency to race wide rounding the turn out of the front straight, he said that he applied to have blinkers on the Greyhound to prevent it from shying away from other runners and he was satisfied with the manner it raced in tonight’s event.

 

2 Silky Chiffon – checked shortly after the start.

 

4 Elegant Ruby - checked shortly after the start. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

7 Slug's Slug – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

8 Prince Of Belair – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

Race 3 – DOVER & SONS NOVICE 2 431m

 

3 Mia's Mail - checked through the first turn. Severely checked and fell leaving the back straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained lacerations to its mouth and was stood down from racing for 3 days.

 

5 Annie Rocks - severely checked and fell leaving the back straight. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have no apparent injuries.

 

6 Bad Boy Bud – marginally slow to begin. Checked through the first turn. Checked leaving the back straight.

 

8 How Cool - marginally slow to begin. Severely checked leaving the back straight.

 

Race 4 – MCNAMARA LAW NOVICE 2 520m

 

3 Night Shift – slow to muster speed in the early stages.

 

6 Quick Flick – slow to begin.

2 Kiss And Spin - marginally slow to begin. Held up for clear running and checked in the front straight in the run to the finish.

 

4 Valdos – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

5 Jackson's Estate - marginally slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the turn out of the front straight. Raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight.

 

8 Dustification – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

Race 6 – TAB IPSWICH FUTURITY FINAL OPEN 2 520m

1 Sparkling Melba – checked approaching the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Micks Recall - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

3 Maggie Moo Moo - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked approaching the turn into the front straight. Collided with another runner in the front straight in the run to the finish.

 

4 In And Out - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

5 Frieda Las Vegas - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked rounding the turn out of the back straight. Collided with another runner in the front straight in the run to the finish.

 

6 Pump It – checked shortly after the start. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked approaching the turn into the front straight.

 

7 Mayoress – checked over the concluding stages of the race.

 

8 Bow Baby - checked over the concluding stages of the race.

 

Race 7 – WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS GRADE 5 2 630m

1 Aston Atley – checked entering the front straight on the final occasion.

 

4 Molly Anne – checked shortly after the start. Checked, shifted in and made contact with the running rail approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion. Checked entering the back straight. Checked entering the front straight on the final occasion. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have no apparent injuries. Trainer D Johnson stated that the Greyhound was having its 1st race start with blinkers and had trialled well leading up to tonight’s race. He said that he was disappointed with the manner that it started the race which resulted in the Greyhound getting further back then expected. He further stated that he intended to continue racing the greyhound with blinkers but may access that decision after future racing.

 

9 Steelcat Binx – commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have no apparent injuries. Consideration was given to its overall performance and was stood down from racing to it can complete 1 satisfactory trial.

 

Race 8 – TAB IPSWICH DERBY FINAL OPEN 2 520m

1 Frog's Hollow - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

 

2 Townson Beach – checked leaving the back straight.

 

4 Call Me Gibbs - checked leaving the back straight.

 

5 Hara's Clyde – checked shortly after the start. Checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

3 Mitchell John - checked through the first turn.

 

4 Rebel Spike - checked through the first turn.

 

5 Sugar Hit Tyler - checked through the first turn.

 

7 Sesqui – turned its head in the direction of another runner in the front straight during the run to the finish. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed it to have injured its near hind toe and was stood down from racing for 14 days. Charged under Rule 69 (b) Failing to Persue with injury and must complete 1 satisfactory trial before returning to racing.

 

Race 10 – SECURE RACING LOGISTICS GRADE 5 (2) 2 431m

1 Planetary Pup – underwent a post-race Veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen which revealed it to have sustained a laceration to its ear and was stood down from racing for 3 days.

 

4 Fairway Finder - checked through the first turn.

 

5 Stevo's Bad Boy - checked through the first turn.

 

8 Mostro Rocks – checked across heels approaching the turn into the front straight. Following an incident in the catching pen, it will now be required to race in an aggression muzzle.
