Race 1 - TAB Live SKY Racing Vision Mdnpw 288m

 

1 Clonmore – Approaching the 1st turn was tightend losing its position and ground.

 

2 Bowl Collector – Marginally slow to begin.

 

5 Mango Martin – Into the 1st turn was tightened and checked.

 

8 Frosty Girl – Marginally slow to begin.

 

9 Kaypat Tenacity (7) – Raced wide for the majority of the event. 

 

10 Better Together (6) – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced when improved onto the heels.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY Racing Maiden 288m

 

1 Bud's Bucks – Into the 1st turn momentarily eased when tightened for room, through the 1st turn, turned its head outwards marring Phantom Bud. Entering the home straight collided with Phantom Bud. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Kerry Ollerton regarding the greyhound’s racing manners through the 1st turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69 Bud’s Bucks was charged with marring 1st offence and suspended from racing for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a satisfactory trial before racing next.

 

2 Fire Fly Elvis – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced and checked.

 

4 Dam Lucky – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced and checked.

 

5 Phantom Bud – Slow to begin, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced and checked. Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced when marred by Bud’s Bucks. Entering the home straight collided with Bud’s Bucks.

 

7 Ebony Highway – In the home straight was bumped becoming unbalanced

 

 

 

 

 

Race 3 - www.Ipswichgreyhounds.Com Maiden Final Maiden 288m

 

4 Sweet Kris – Into the 1st turn turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure, in the home straight turned its head outwards towards Orchestrate and bumped with that runner.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke to the trainer Merv Page in regard to the greyhound’s actions into the first turn and again in the home straight. After reviewing the video replay, hearing the submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that Sweet Kris had turned its head outwardly towards Orchestrate therefore invoked GAR 69A Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Sweet Kris was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

5 Tuta Bye Bye – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

7 Orchestrate – Over the final stages was bumped by Sweet Kris which shifted out.

 

8 Banjo Lad – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

9 Yosemite Sam (6) – Into the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 4 - Greyhound_Data.Com Novice 288m

 

2 Rosdue Kaique – Into the 1st turn was checked losing its position.

 

3 Gunnadoo Oak – Into the 1st turn was checked losing its position.

 

5 Mary's Spring – In the home straight was checked when improved onto heels.

 

6 Rosdue Barbosa – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 5 - Dover & Sons Ma5 431m

 

3 Big Pom – Marginally slow to begin.

 

4 Outback Mandrake – Into the 1st turn became unbalanced then for a short distance later raced in restricted room. Rounding the home turn was checked.

 

6 Chardonnay Mum – Entering the home straight was bumped.

 

7 Coolraddo – Marginally slow to begin, through the 1st turn was bumped becoming unbalanced. Into the back turn was checked losing ground.

 

9 Diesel's Charlie (2) – Entering the home straight shifted out colliding with Chardonnay Mum.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 6 - Greyhound Gear 5th Grade Heat 1 Grade 5 431m

 

2 Walsh – Through the 1st turn improved onto heels and was checked losing ground, raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

5 Whistle – Into the 1st turn was crowded for room losing it position, shortly after was bumped becoming unbalanced and checked losing ground as a result, raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

6 Ringbark Jen – Slow to begin.

 

7 Silent Key – Into the back turn improved onto heels losing its momentum.

 

8 Name Him Cooper – Slow to begin, leaving the 1st turn was inconvenienced, raced wide for the majority of the event.

1 Good Vibrations – Slow to begin, through the 1st turn checked across heels.

 

2 Maywyn Bossy One – Slow to begin, rounding the home turn shifted out colliding with Bailey. In the home straight shifted out bumping Bailey. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Anita Watts regarding the greyhound’s actions rounding the home. After reviewing the video replays and the veterinary report, stewards deemed that Maywyn Bossy One had turned its head outwards towards Bailey but could not confidently say that head or muzzle contact was made. Stewards gave the benefit of doubt for marring against Maywyn Bossy One but invoked GAR 69A failing to pursue.  As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Maywyn Bossy One was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until completing a satisfactory trial.

 

3 Presley Power – Slow to begin, through the 1st turn was tightened for room and lost ground.

 

4 Bailey – Rounding the home turn was taken wider by Maywyn Bossy One which shifted out. Entering the home straight was bumped becoming unbalanced.

 

6 Leeroy Renegade – Slow to begin, into 1st turn was crowded for room losing ground as a result, through the 1st turn checked across heels losing its position. Raced wide throughout.

 

7 Spring Vader – Slow to begin.

 

8 Gelignite Jim – Into the 1st turn became momentarily unbalance when shifting ground, into the back turn checked from heels and lost ground.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 8 - Just Greyhound Photos 4/5 Grade Final Mixed 4/5 431m

 

4 Ringbark Clancy – Into 1st turn was tightened losing its position.

 

5 Dodgy Kell – Into the 1st turn checked across heels, through the 1st turn was tightened and lost ground. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have injured its offside fore webbing and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

10 Dream A Lot (8) – Slow to begin.

 

 

 

 

 

Race 9 - TAB Mixed 4/5 288m

 

4 Impatient Kid – Shortly after the start bumped with Red Hot Spur, A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have strained its chest muscle and was stood down from racing for 7 days.  

 

6 Pearl's Fly – Through the 1st turn was inconvenienced and lost ground.

 

7 Red Hot Spur – Shortly after the start bumped with Impatient kid, approaching the 1st turn eased. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards spoke to the trainer Kerry Ollerton in regard to the greyhound’s actions approaching the first turn After reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Ollerton, stewards deemed Red Hot Spur eased considerably at that point of the race therefore invoked GAR 69A Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Red Hot Spur was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

 

9 Last Dance (5) – Into the 1st turn was tightened for room and fell taking no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have strained its back and was stood down from racing for 7 days.  

 

 

 

 

 

Race 10 - www.Ipswichgreyhounds.Com Grade 5 288m

 

1 Expat Spitfire – Into the 1st turn was checked and lost ground.

 

4 Peeper Jones – Through the 1st turn lost momentum.

 

5 Jake's Boy – Raced wide for the entire event.

 

6 Kid Sunrise ­– Slow to begin, rounding the home turn improved onto Harbour Mint and was checked.

 

7 Finest Hour – Through the back turn checked across heels becoming unbalanced.

 

8 Harbour Mint – Rounding the home turn collided heavily with Expat Spitfire which shifted in and was severely checked looking injured as a result. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have injured its nearside hock and was stood down from racing for 12 weeks and must trial prior to racing next.
