Race 1 – TAB | Maiden | 407m

Even start.

Approaching the first turn, PREMIER BEACH, VIGILANTE, OLLIE’S GIRL, OSHKOSH FLAKE and SENORITA FIESTA were all racing tight and as a result all lost ground to differing degrees when further tightened by LIVE IN HOPE.

Rounding the home turn SWIFT DOLL checked from the heels of LIVE IN HOPE. As a result SENORITA FIESTA has shifted wider to avoid the heels of SWIFT DOLL.

Leaving the home turn VIGILANTE shifted out and heavily bumped SWIFT DOLL and SENORITA FIESTA on a number of occasions.

Shortly after straightening in the home straight PREMIER BEACH tripped for one stride.

A post-race veterinary examination of PREMIER BEACH failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

A post-race veterinary examination of SWIFT DOLL revealed the greyhound to be suffering an injury to the offside hind leg and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 2 – Newsxpress Richardson Road | Novice | 407m

Even start.

Shortly after the start MAGIC CONNECTION shifted in abruptly resulting RED BRIANNA being checked.

Entering the first turn OSHKOSH PETRA was hampered when tightened, lost significant ground and nearly fell finishing the race well back.

Leaving the first turn MAGIC CONNECTION was tightened and lost ground.

A post-race veterinary examination of OSHKOSH PETRA revealed the greyhound to be suffering from an injury to the off side front digit and was stood down from racing for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 3 – Wendy Mulry Travel | M5 | 407m

PARTIAL DEFENCE and IRONPOT SMASH were slow to begin.

Approaching the first turn BOKARM LEO was tightened and checked and as a result PARTIAL DEFENCE was hampered when BOKARM LEO lost ground.

Approaching the first turn ROMAN SAND was tightened and lost ground.

In the middle stages of the back straight CARLO SCORCHO commenced to give ground and finished well back.

A post-race veterinary examination of CARLO SCORCHO failed to reveal any abnormalities. A warning was placed on CARLO SCORCHO for unsatisfactory performance.

Race 4 – Patrick Paterson | 5th Grade | 407m

LONG SHOTS was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start IRISH SPICE was tightened and checked.

Rounding the first turn CRACKERJACK RUBY and FACTIONAL were both tightened and lost ground to differing degrees.

Leaving the first turn MERLOT HAYZE was hampered and checked.

Race 5 – Dynamic Electrical | 3rd & 4th Grade | 407m  

FARINGDON, MISS WILDWEST and HAPPY PANTERA were marginally slow to begin.

Approaching the first turn BONITTO, TRIP DANCER, MAGIC BENZ and SNAP ONE OFF are all tightened and lose ground to differing degrees.

Entering the home turn FARIGNDON checked from the heels of BONITTO.

A post-race veterinary examination of MON MANNY BEACH, which fell shortly after passing the post, failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 6 – Diplock’s Collision and Repair Centre | 4th & 5th Grade | 407m

Shortly after the start MISS EMMY and KAYLA’S MONARO bumped.

MISS EMMY and HIGHWAY GIRL raced wide in the back straight.

Mid way up the home straight KAYLA’S MONARO and ZAMBORA PRIDE bumped.

 

Race 7 – Patlaw Securities | 4th & 5th Grade | 510m

BRAXTON HAYZE was slow to begin.

ROUGH ODDS and MASTER CARD bumped shortly after the start.

Entering the back straight BRAXTON HAYZE checked from heels.

A post-race veterinary examination of MAYHEM MAGIC failed to reveal any abnormalities.

A post-race veterinary examination of VELOCITY KYINKA failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Shortly after entering the home straight MAYHEM MAGIC marred the running of RED JAMIE. As this was MAYHEM MAGIC’s first offence, the greyhound was barred from racing at Rockhampton for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to starting again.

In the middles stages of the home straight VELOCITY KYINKA marred the running of MAYHEM MAGIC. As this was VELOCITY KYINKA’s second offence, the greyhound was barred from racing for a period of 3 months at all tracks and a satisfactory trial prior to racing again.

Race 8 – The Chase Magazine | Best 8 | 407m  

Even start.

Leaving the first turn BRIDGET BENZ was tightened and lost ground.

Entering the back straight TAJO was tightened and lost ground.

 

Race 9 – Sandal Welding | 5th Grade | 407m

HACIENDA, WHINGING WILKO and JIMMY’S REWARD were slow to begin.

Leaving the first turn STILTED CHATTER was hampered.

Leaving the home turn HACIENDA and OUTLAW ANNIE bumped.
