Race Reports

 

Race 1 –WENDY MULRYMAIDEN 407Metres

 

ROSE TEXADA was slow into stride.

BIG MAN RUSTY checked outwards shortly after the start.

KODA KAYE checked off the back of another runner entering the back straight, then checked outwards off the back of another runner halfway down the back straight, was bumped heavily by another runner entering the home straight.

ANGRY ANGUS checked outwards off the back of another runner leaving the back straight then shifted out and bumped heavily with another runner entering the home straight.

 

Race 2 –LIFE MEMBERSNOVICE 407Metres

 

SPECIAL SPEED was slow to begin.

RED BRIANNA was slow into stride.

DEA GEA checked off the back of another runner entering the home straight.

MUSIC MAESTRO raced wide throughout.

 

Race 3 –NEWSXPRESS 5th Grade 407Metres

 

DIGGERS COVE was slow to begin.

MYSTERIOUS ROSE was slow to begin, then was bumped heavily by another runner shortly after the start.

KODA KEEPER checked outwards shortly after the start bumping another runner heavily then leaving the back straight checked off the back of another runner. Was then marred by another runner approaching the home turn.

SIAN BEACH shifted out and marred another runner approaching the home turn. Trainer Andrew Suli was advised that SIAN BEACH was barred from racing at for a period of 28 days and must also pass a trail to the satisfaction of stewards before returning to race.

 

Race 4 –CLUB WORKERS APPRECIATION MIXED 4/5th  GRADE 407Metres

 

BLUE JILLEM was slow into stride.

COPYIST was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start VELOCITY PIPPA shifted out sharply bumping two runners to its outside.

BRIDGET BENZ checked and lost ground shortly after the start when bumped by another runner shifting out.

SPEED ACTION checked and lost ground shortly after the start when bumped by another runner shifting out, raced wide for the majority.

MR APOLLO was bumped shortly after the finish and took a heavy fall, was then sent for a post race veterinary examination with no abnormalities found.

 

Race 5 –DINKY DI WEB DESIGN 4/5th GRADE FINAL 407Metres

 

FIVE FORTY was slow into stride.

ESOTERIC shifted out entering the back straight checking another runner.

HEADLINER was checked by another runner entering the back straight then raced wide for the remainder.

Race 6 –TAB ROCKHAMPTON CUP (G3) CONSULATION 510Metres

 

Clean start.

Going around the first turn RED JAIME shifted out and hampered another runner then raced wide for the remainder.

TEN GALLON HAT was hampered by another runner going around the first turn then shortly after lost further ground after running into the back of another runner.

 

Race 7 –TAB ROCKY CARNIVAL SPRINT FINAL 407Metres

 

AVA SURPRISE was slow to begin and shortly after the start lost ground when squeezed between two other runners.

EDGY raced wide for the majority.

DREAMING DORA commenced to lose ground in the back straight, finished the race well back and was then sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to sore in the near hind. DREAMING DORA was stood down from racing for a period of 10 Days.

 

Race 8 –TAB ROCKHAMPTON CUP (G3) FINAL 510Metres

 

BRANDI ALEXANDER was declared a late scratching at 5.55pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice for split webbing to the near hind, subsequently Trainer Tom Tzouvelis was advised that BRADI ALEXANDER was stood down from racing for a period of 14 Days.

PITTSBURGH PHIL was slow into stride, lost ground after a heavy bump from another runner going around the first turn.

ARE JAY LOCHIE was slow into stride, checked out and bumped another runner going around the first turn, raced wide for the remainder.

FARINGDON lost ground going around the turn into the back straight after checking outwards across the back of two runners, then run into the back of another runner coming around the home turn.

 

Race 9 –PATLAW SECURITIES 5th GRADE 407Metres

 

APOLLO WARRIOR was slow into stride and shifted out shortly after and bumped heavily with another runner.

ROMAN SAND was slow into stride and lost ground shortly after when bumped heavily by another runner.

CRACKERJACK RUBY checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

SNAP ONE OFF shifted out in the home straight and bumped another runner.

HIGHWAY GIRL was bumped by another runner in the home straight.

 

Race 10 – SKY RACING 5th GRADE 407Metres

 

KICKER CREW was extremely slow to begin and pulled up sore in the hind legs, was sent for a post race veterinary examination and was found to have recovered after cramping when pulling up.

ROSE ALI, TAJO and IRISH SPICE all checked severely and lost considerable ground going around the turn into the back straight.

ROSE ALI raced wide for the majority of the race.
