Race 1 – ANGLISS MEATS
TOWNSVILLE, MAIDEN, 380M
Even start
MANILA JET was tightened for racing room and
lost ground in the back straight.
PAINT THE OCEAN checked off the heels of RAISE
YOUR GLASS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in
interference to HARA’S DASH and SHAKE THE PAINT.
WHERE’S DOUG shifted out across the heels of
HARA’S DASH and bumped PAINT THE OCEAN on the turn into the front straight.
MR. SUGAR DADDY and SHAKE THE PAINT raced wide
in the front straight.
Race 2– GREYHOUNDS AS
PETS, NOVICE, 380M
Even start with EL BAZZA slow to begin.
SANDOWN SARAH was tightened for racing room and
lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.
SOUTH PAW CIFIC, SANDOWN SARAH and BEST OF BEZA
bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in the three greyhounds
losing ground.
Race 3 – RJ WILEY
TRANSPORT, 5TH GRADE, 380M
Even start.
DOCKIN’ DAVE was tightened for racing room and
lost ground in the back straight.
FANATIC checked off WINNIE’S ROSE and lost
ground after turning out of the back straight.
Race 4 – DAN THE
PAINTER MAN, 3/4TH GRADE, 380M
APPREHENSION
was the best to begin. ENJOY THE SHOW, MAGIC
WISHES and NOT A WORD were marginally slow to begin.
General
tightening occurred approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in
GRACIOUS LADY and OUR STAR losing ground.
MAGIC
WISHES checked off ENJOY THE SHOW and lost ground on the turn out of the back
straight.
MOE
HEIGHTS underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have a
hip muscle injury.
Race 5 – INGHAM ROAD
SEAFOOD, BEST 8, 380M
Even
start.
MAYWYN
OPALS was tightened for racing room and almost fell in the back straight taking
no further competitive part in the race.
MAYWYN OPALS underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Subsequently
Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 71 stood MAYWYN OPALS down from
racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory
performance.
BIMBADGEN
MAN lost ground back through the field on the turn out of the back straight to
finish last. BIMBADGEN MAN underwent a
post-race veterinarian examination which revealed the greyhound appeared
exhausted. Stewards questioned the trainer’s representative who advised that
the greyhound travelled from Rockhampton ok despite losing 1kg in weight,
however the heat may have had some affect on its
performance and that the greyhound also races better on the pace with the
leaders. Mr Taylor.also
advised that the dog was having its second start in two months due to injury
Race 6 – BOHLE BARN NQ
CUP TSV, OPEN, HEAT 1, 498M
Even
start.
General
tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in the majority of the
field suffering some inconvenience.
WILD
WISH and ARE JAY LOCHIE bumped entering the front straight resulting in both
greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
WILD
WISH raced wide to the finish.
MAGIC
GIZMO underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
Race 7 – BOHLE BARN NQ
CUP TSV, OPEN, HEAT 2, 498M
NATTY’S
ON FIRE was the best to begin.
CZARNY,
LODGEMENT and PHANTOM HENRY bumped on the first turn after the start causing
the three greyhounds to be inconvenienced.
INTENSIFY
and SWAP ME bumped on the first turn after the stat resulting in both
greyhounds losing ground.
CZARNY
improved on to the hind quarters of NATTY’S ON FIRE prior to entering the back
straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.
NATTY’S
ON FIRE checked off INTENSIFY and lost considerable ground in the back
straight.
SWAP
ME and DREAM WEAVER bumped entering the front straight.
NATTY’S
ON FIRE underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
Race 8 – BOHLE BARN NQ
CUP TSV, OPEN, HEAT 3, 498M
Even start with OLD MATE KICK slow to begin.
Genera tightening occurred on the first turn
after the start resulting in BANJO AN’ HENRY, POPPY CHOOKY and CHIPS AHOY
losing some ground.
Race 9 – GECKO
TRANSPORT, 4/5 GRADE, 380M
Even start with WAYLON BALE slow to begin.
BELLE’S HAWKE and HARA’S SKYLAH were tightened
for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.
Race 10 – CRESTBROOK
FISH & BURGER BAR, 5TH GRADE, 380M
FANCY
A BEER was the best to begin. DARK CONDE
was slow to begin.
BELCANTO
lost ground in the back straight tailing off to finish a distant last. BELCANTO underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and was found to have an off hind leg muscle injury.
DARK
CONDE checked off SCOTT THE HOOK and lost ground on the turn out of the back
straight.
Race 11 – BARRYS BULK
HAULAGE, 5PW, 380M
ROAD
MONSTER was the best to begin.
JACK
ADDI lost ground in the back straight tailing off to finish last. JACK ADDI underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Subsequently Stewards acting under the
provisions of GAR 71 stood JACK ADDI down from racing until the completion of a
satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.
SMOKEY
WISHES and ROAD MONSTER bumped several times entering the front straight
causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.
