Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN 380M

 

Even start with MR. SUGAR DADDY and MANILA JET slow to begin.

 

NICMAC BABE eased whilst leading in the back straight resulting in interference to the majority of the field.  NICMAC BABE underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood NICMAC BABE down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trail for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

 

PAINT THE OCEAN checked off MANILA JET and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

SHAKE THE PAINT raced wide into the front straight.

 

Race 2 – ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE NOVICE 380M

 

SANDOWN SARAH was the best to begin.

 

RAISE YOUR GLASS was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

BEST OF BEZA checked off the heels of SANDOWN SARAH and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

HEZA CHOP CHOP and SANDOWN SARAH bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

 

HEZA CHOP CHOP underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS TGRC ANNIVERSARY TROPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 380M

 

Even start.

 

OLDMATE GRETEL checked off MAGIC DOUG and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

ROCKIN’ DAVE checked off MAGIC DOUG and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

OLDMATE GRETEL underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have a near hind muscle injury.

 

Race 4 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS TGRC ANNIVERSARY TROPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 380M

 

SMOKEY WISHES was the best to begin.

 

BIRR checked off SALUTE THE CLOUD and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight causing interference to FLYING STORM.

 

Race 5 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS TGRC ANNIVERSARY TROPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 380M

 

Even start with MAGIC GIZMO slow to begin.

 

INTENSIFY was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

 

SLIDING DOORS checked off the heels of DISCO NATTY on the turn out of the back straight.

 

NICMAC JETT and NO NOT ME bumped entering the front straight.

 

Race 6 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS TGRC ANNIVERSARY TROPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 380M

 

Even start with HARBOUR REIGN and BANJO AN’ HENRY marginally slow to begin.

 

HARBOUR REIGN improved on to the heels of BULL DANCE approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in HARBOUR REIGN becoming unbalanced bumping BANJO AN’ HENRY and falling.  BULL DANCE and QUEEN OF CAWDOR also lost ground in the incident.

 

RHONDA’S YOGI raced wide on the turn into the front straight.

 

HARBOUR REIGN underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have an abdominal muscle injury.

 

Race 7 – RUBIE OLSEN BEST 8 380M

 

Even start.

 

RONRAY FLAME was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

BACK STREET BOY checked off BREAKER CHARLIE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 8 – SCOOPS FISH & CHIPS FFA 498M

 

LODGEMENT and SLOW DANCER were the best to begin.

 

General tightening occurred shortly after the start resulting in INNOCENT MAN, NATTY’S ON FIRE and BRINDI CHOPPER losing ground.

 

OLD MATE KICK checked off CZARNY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.

 

LODGEMENT checked off SLOW DANCER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 9 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS TGRC ANNIVERSARY TROPHY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE 380M

 

Even start.

 

CHIPS AHOY was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

DREAM WEAVER checked across the heels of WESTMEAD WARRIOR and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

WILD WISH raced wide in the front straight.
