Leaving the back straight PAINT THE OCEAN was tightened for racing room checked fell and took no further competitive part in the event.
The greyhound PAINT THE OCEAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 2 – LAMBERTS FRESH PRODUCE | GRADE 5 | 380M
HARBOUR REIGN was slow to begin. Leaving the back straight FANCY A BEER was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight FANCY A BEER improved onto the hind quarters of HARBOUR REIGN causing both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Race 3 – TAYLOR FAMILY | GRADE 5 | 380M
TIN STAR and MANILA JET were slow to begin. Leaving the back straight TIN STAR and DON’T TELL MUMMA were both tightened for racing room checked and fell and took no further competitive part in the event. Approaching the turn into the front straight PROCLAIEMER checked across heels and lost ground.
The greyhound TIN STAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore triceps and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
The greyhound DON’T TELL MUMMA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore leg and was humanely euthanized.
Race 4 – LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS | MIXED 3/4 | 380M
OUR STAR was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the front straight FANATIC was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight PANTHER CLOUD checked across heels and lost ground. KARMA’S COMING which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the front straight LIBBY’S HERO and FANATIC collide.
Race 5 – ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE | BEST 8 | 380M

Shortly after MAYWYN OPALS commenced to give ground to finish a considerable distance for the remainder of the field. Rounding the turn out of the back straight ROCKIN’ RINGO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
The greyhound MAYWYN OPALS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
Race 6 – TOWN & COUNTRY CARAVAN PARK COUNTRY CUP HEAT 1 | OPEN | 498M
FOOL PROOF was marginally slow to begin. Rounding the turn into the back straight RIMBA SAMBIA was tightened for racing room checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the race. WILD WISH which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. In the back straight LICORICE SHOT shifted out which hampered the running of DALMATYNSKI.
The greyhound RIMBA SAMBIA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

In the back straight INTENSIFY shifted out with hampered the running of SLOW DANCER. NATTY’S ON FIRE commenced to give ground rounding the turn out of the back straight.
The greyhound NATTY’S ON FIRE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind gluteal and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Leaving the back straight BURNER BANT was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight ARTS raced in restricted room and lost ground. Entering the front straight ARTS and POPPA’S PICK collide resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.

MAYWYN OFTEN and EL BAZZA were slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back straight BULL DANCE and WESTMEAD WARRIOR were both tightened for racing room and lost ground. EL BAZZA which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.
