General:

 

Trainer A. Suli was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Oriental Sugar to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing (From 24.6 to 23.1 – 1.5kg).  Subsequently Oriental Sugar was a late scratching from Race 9.

Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN 380m

 

1 Stand By Me – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Forced wide by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Jack Arby – Checked off another runner shortly after the start.

 

4 Winter Ghost – Checked across heels over the concluding stages of the race.

 

5 Cornholio – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out across heels, forcing another runner wide, on the turn into the front straight.

 

6 What A Swagger – Checked off another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

 

1 Walkin' Millie – Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a sprain to the off wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days and a veterinary certificate.

 

2 Massive Bang – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight and failed to finish the race.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

3 Canya Whisper – Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off front biceps and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

4 Above Ability – Checked by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have sustained minor lacerations to the inside near hind leg no penalty was imposed.

 

8 Aston Rupiah – Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a laceration to the off front leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

 

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS 0-2 WINS 498m

 

1 Highly Rated – Slow to begin.  Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

3 Jazz Party – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

5 All Image – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

 

6 Epiphany – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

1 Loose Lips Jack – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Salaam – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide in the front straight.

 

3 Bemused – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

 

4 Georgio Bale – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

6 Copper Canyon – Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular the front straight.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 39.A stood Copper Canyon down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

 

7 One Strange Dude – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

8 Xeron Bale – Bumped by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

 

Race 7 - TONY PARKER GRADE 4 380m

 

2 Unusual Suspect – Raced wide in the front straight.

 

5 Ragin' Soldier – Raced wide in the front straight.

 

8 Oriental Gale – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

 

Race 8 - HUNNY POT NQ MIXED 3/4 380m

 

3 Rob's Gift – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

5 Scarify – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Keith – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular on the turn into the front straight and in the front straight.   Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69.1 stood Keith down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring another runner.

 

 

Race 10 - GJ GARDNER HOMES GRADE 5 (3) 380m

 

1 Rosa's Memory – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.

 

2 Velocity Larni – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

 

3 Raw Attitude – Slow to begin.

 

5 Cryptic Diamond – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

 

7 Jay Jay Kersey – Knuckled over momentarily on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 11 - IMS ELECTRICAL 5PW 380m

 

6 Reserved – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

9 Hornet Hudson (5) – Stewards questioned the racing manner of the greyhound, in particular the front straight.  Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood Hornet Hudson down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (2nd offence).
