There was a delay to the start of Race 1 to wait for the veterinarian to arrive on course.
Race 1: SONDERGELD FABRICATION QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1050 metres
NIGHT IN PARADISE – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages and hung out for much of the race.
KAOS AGENT – Slow into stride then held up for clear running from the 200m to the 100m.
SONA DANCER – Eased at the 400m when an inside runner shifted ground, then travelled wide for the remainder.
TOP EVIE – Slow to begin.
RECONIS – Slow to muster early speed and resented the kickback.
SPOT ON – Jockey P. Randall dropped his whip at the 120m with the mare losing all momentum at that stage.
ANGRY DESERT – Blundered out of the gates and travelled wide for the remainder of the race.
Race 2: ARCADIAN ORGANIC AND NATURAL MEAT CO MAIDEN PLATE - 1050 metres
TEMPER TEMPER – Slow into stride and slow to muster speed.
TZAR BOMBA – Jumped outwards contacting an outside runner.
REBELLION – Contacted at the start and travelled wide for the remainder of the race to avoid the dusty track conditions.
ZODIAC STAR – Jumped away awkwardly and hung out over the concluding stages.
Race 3: SWAN HILL CATTLE CO OPEN HANDICAP - 1050 metres
BUSH CAVIAR – Slow to begin and travelled wide in the early stages.
MALIBU AFFAIR – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out at the 800m to avoid the kickback and travelled wide for the remainder of the race.
BOUND TO ME – Slow to begin.
Race 4: LAMBERT STUD CLASS 4 PLATE - 1200 metres
DUCK IN DUBAI – Slow to begin.
THIRD ROCK – Shifted out over the concluding stages under pressure.
BOLLENTE – Jockey L. Dillon was severely reprimanded when approaching the 900m he failed to relieve pressure to horses on the inside causing one to lose their position in running. Travelled wide for much of the race.
TIME FOR US – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
PETITE ELLE – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages with cover.
SAME OLD STORY – Jockey S. Watkin requested to look at the photo finish print prior to correct weight being given.
PART THE SEA – Slow to begin, hampered at the 900m when an outside runner lay in having to take hold and losing position, then travelled wide for the remainder of the race.
Race 5: FOREST PARK SANTA GERTRUDIS CLASS B HANDICAP - 1400 metres
SELECT ROYAL – Travelled wide from the 800m to avoid the dusty conditions and hung out rounding the home turn.
LANZOFFANY – Travelled wide with cover in the early and middle stages.
GREAT SHINE – Travelled wide for much of the race.
TENT LOVER – Stood flat footed as the start was effected causing the mare to be slow away.
SHE DEVEL – Slow to muster early speed. Jockey B. Richardson stating the mare did not want to travel in the early stages and resented the kickback so was taken wider to try and avoid and race in clear air.
Race 6: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/ STRATHMORE BLACKALL CUP OPEN PLATE – 1400 metres
FULLY MAXED – Travelled wide in the middle and concluding stages. Jockey M. Palmer stating the gelding raced like he was tired.
HERIOSM – Travelled wide over the concluding stages.
DON’T WE LOVE IT – Travelled wide for much of the race.
OUR BEATNIK – Slow into stride and was reluctant to stretch out in the early stages.
PRYAMID PRINCE – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
