Race 1 – Koorelah Farms QTIS Jewel Qualifier 2yo H’cap – 1200m
RED SATIN – Slow to begin.
SHE’S MAGANDA – Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages and as a result of that raced 3 wide for the majority of the race. Bumped by another runner which, shifted out near the 100m.
MT PETER MISS – Shifted out under pressure approaching the 100m, bumping another runner.
Race 2 – Queens Beach Hotel Maiden H’cap – 1200m
MIGHT MEERKAT – Slow to begin.
GOING IN STYLE – Began awkwardly and shifted outwards at the start.
WRITTEN IMAGE – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously for the majority of the race and shifted out abruptly near the 100m. Rider B. Thomson advised stewards she was of the opinion that the mare may have got its tongue over the bit during running. This was brought to the attention of trainer C. Hurle.
LINNET MOON – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 3 – Burdekin Veterinary Services Open H’cap – 1000m
ISLAND BAR – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Shortly after the start clipping the heels of another runner and blundered, losing ground.
CYCLINE TOPGIRL – Began awkwardly and shifted out, tightening a runner to its outside.
CONFRONTING – Tightened for room on jumping away.
Race 4 – Industrial Fire Services QTIS 3yo Maiden H’cap – 1280m
TOY – Slow to begin. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the presence of an abscess in its nearside hoof. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior for the horse being permitted to race again.
RAUNCHY WOMAN – Slow to begin.
WAY OF THE DRAGON – Was fractious in the barriers and began awkwardly, shifting in and making heavy contact with another runner. As a result, rider B Thomson became unbalanced, and was of the opinion that the horse got its tongue over the bit and raced ungenerously throughout as a result, and for that reason was reluctant to place the horse under any pressure, finishing tailed off.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed blood in the horse’s mouth. Trainer A. Cameron was advised that a warning would be placed on the manners of the gelding.
BEYONCNEIGH – Bumped heavily on jumping away by another runner
DESPIRITO – A post-race veterinary examination  revealed the gelding to be sore in both front legs. Trainer J. Wehlow was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the it next race start.
Race 5 – Abbot Point Operations Class 6 Plate – 1200m
BRAVE BOW – Slow to begin.
I’M  NOT SURE – Slow to begin.
KIRABO – Shifted in shortly after the start. A short distance later shifted in, bumping OUR BOY PENDLES, forcing that runner to continue to hang in and shifted in and away from that runner. Whilst stewards noted the manners of OUR BOY PENDLES, jockey C. Whiteley, rider of KIRABO, was reprimanded and advised to show greater care in similar circumstances.
OUR BOY PEDLES – Correct weight was delayed to allow rider W. D’Avila and trainer A. Patterson to view the Stewards patrol film to ascertain if they had grounds to lodge an objection against the winner alleging interference shortly after the start. After viewing of the film, they declined to proceed and correct weight, was declared on the judge’s numbers. Shifted in and away from another runner, which shifted inwards at the start, then continued to race ungenerously and hung in, tightening runners to its inside after being bumped.  In this incident, its saddle shifted to the nearside, placing its rider at a disadvantage.
DAMKY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
Race 6 – Grandview Hotel Class 2 Plate – 1470m
BOLD SAM – When arriving at the barriers appeared to resent the tongue-tie, and at the request of its rider, permission was granted for the horse to race without its allocated gear of a tongue-tie. This was broadcast via public announcement. Held up for clear running and unable to improve from leaving the 300m until the 100m.
DONAVIA – Delayed the start when proving difficult to load.
LIGHT UP VEGAS – Slow into stride.
THE ABYSS – Raced wide in the early stages.
SKYFIELD – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider W. D’Avila advised stewards following the event that, in his opinion, the gelding resented its tongue-tie.
DANZ THE MAN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
