Race 1 – Queens Beach Hotel Maiden Plate – 1000M
COOL KITTY – Slow to begin.
STELLA STARLITE – Raced wide in the middle stages.
THE SNOOTY FOX – Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and knuckled over. Raced wide in the middle stages. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off front fetlock. A veterinary clearance is required prior to racing.
Race 2 – Abbot Point Operations Class B Handicap – 1000M
EXCEEDING ASSASSIN – Raced wide early in the early stages.
FAIRFACTS - Jumped in at the start bumping another runner. Hung in momentarily at the 900m and bumped another runner. Raced wide in the middle stages. Hung in on entering the home straight.
FAVOR OF GOD – Bumped by another runner at the 900m.
HOSTILE LILY – Jockey S. Sheargold was granted permission by the Stewards to ride 1kg over as there was no other rider available. Bumped another runner at the start and was tightened.
ROCKETHEAD – Jumped out and bumped another runner at the start. Bumped by another runner at the 900m.
JACKON – Raced wide in the middle stages.
WAY TOO SASSY – Bumped by another runner and tightened at the start.
SARABAH – Slow to begin.
Race 3 – Leigh Holt Cleaning Services Ratings Band 0 -60 Handicap – 1200M
SYAMATIAKA MAN – Fractious in the barrier.
ELITE JET – Inconvenienced at 600m
PRETTY VACANT – Bled both nostrils. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination. Subsequent to AR79 was stood down for a period of 3 months and subject to a 1000m gallop before Stewards prior to next race.
AS YAWOOD – Jockey S. Sheargold was fined $200 under the provisions of AR190(3) for accepting the ride on AS YAWOOD when he was unable to make the allotted weight. Jockey Sheargold was replaced by M. Haley. Raced wide throughout. Stewards requested a veterinary examination of the mare following the completion of the race. Neither AS YAWOOD or the trainer C. Parry could be located at the time, although it was later established both horse and trainer were still on course. Subsequently Mr Parry was advised a veterinary clearance will be required prior to the mare racing again. Further, Stewards reprimanded Mr Parry under the provisions of AR165(3) which stipulates that all horses which have competed in a race must not be removed from the designated area (race day tie-ups) until at least 30 minutes after the finish of the race.
Race 4 – 2019 TAB Battle of the Bush Bowen Qualifier Open Plate – 1100M
SWEET SURPRISE – Jumped awkwardly and bumped another runner at the start.
THE GREATEST – Bumped by another runner at the start.
KAHUNA –Was unable to obtain clear running over the concluding stages of the race.
LITTLE STRYKER – Raced wide in the middle stages.
KAP IT OFF – Raced wide in the middle stages.
Race 5 – Industry Fire Services Whitsunday Cup BenchMark 55 Handicap – 1470M
