Stewards inquired into an incident at approximately the 700m where WRITTEN GUARENTEE shifted in resulting in SPIRIT’S FIRST and SPARMAN being tightened for room and SIZZLING SUZANNE becoming awkwardly placed at heels and as a result was forced to restrain and lost ground. Apprentice T. Townsend, the rider of WRITTEN GUARENTEE, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR.131(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of runners to her inside. Apprentice Townsends licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 8/8/2020 and to conclude midnight 18/8/2020.
