GENERAL
 
A pre-race inspection of the track revealed and area near the 100m which required some remedial work prior to the first race. Additionally, stewards requested that a large number of kangaroos be removed from the inside the track.
 
Race1: BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1030m
 
SEDUCTION- Slow to begin and lost ground.
 
PATCHE GIFT- Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
STRIVE TO SUCCEED- Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200m
 
Jockey S. Sweedman advised that he was ill and unable to ride at today’s meeting. Jockey Sweedman was advised he will require a Medical certificate prior to next riding.

Jockey S. Sweedman was replaced by App. R. Wilson on DIRTY LITTLESECRET.
 
GREAT BRAVE was a late scratching at 11:23am as no rider was available.
 
VERVE- Twisted a plate prior to saddling and as no replacement plate was available permission was given to race VERVE bare in the front.
 
FIRST SLIP- Bumped the starting gates and broke through with no rider and completed almost  one lap of the course. FIRST SLIP was declared a late scratching by stewards at 12:20pm.
 
KITTY KATS KITTEN- Slow to begin and lost ground. Raced wide without cover and shifted out rounding the home turn.
 
CHEERS FOR CHARLIE- Shifted out on the home turn when commencing to weaken.
 
LADY MAGIC - Jockey S. Lacy reported that the mare resented the kick back from the 800m to the home turn.
 
 
Race 3: BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
Jockey L. Abbott was dislodged from ELAVADA leaving the mounting yard.
 
JOLEN JOLEN- Upon returning to scale Jockey S. Lacy advised that her breastplate had broken during the race.
 
MAGIC MYSTERY- Raced wide rounding the home turn losing ground.
 
 
Race 4: OPEN HANDICAP – 1200m
 
HANOVER SQUARE-  Was declared a late scratching at 1:10pm as no rider was available.
 
REACH FOR HEAVEN- Slow into stride and lost ground.
 
RED DEVIL- Restless in the barriers.
 
SPLITZ- Eased off heels in the early stages.
 
SILENT FLYER- Raced tight inside other runners in the early stages.
 
CHAMERLAIN- Raced wide without cover throughout the middle stages. Shifted wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP – 1400m  
 
SO STUNNING- Was declared a late scratching at 11:23am as there was no available rider.
 
CROOKED ARROW- Was struck on the near side when the starting gate bounced back and lost ground.
 
MAHUSSY- Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
OURLASTPENNY- A post-race veterinary examination was conducted as the mare performed poorly. No significant abnormalities were found. Connections advised that she may have gotten her tongue over the bit and will consider a tongue tie next start.
