Race 1: MURT & CO QTIS CLASS 2 PLATE 1000m
 
BITHARD – The gelding which was resuming after a prolonged absence from racing was examined pre-race by the Veterinarian and passed fit to start. Slowly into stride. Raced wide rounding the 800m turn. Lost offside front plate in running.  
 
ACE LIGHTNING - Jumped awkwardly and outwards bumping with another runner. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
SIRTIME - Bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
TOUCAN - Raced wide for the majority.
 
CAPTAIN’S PICK - Raced wide rounding the 800m turn.
 
ABBA ORIGINAL - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 2: JOE & PAULINE BAKHASH MEMORIAL CLASS 6 PLATE 1000m   
 
LE CHEF - The gelding which was resuming after a prolonged absence from racing was examined pre-race by the Veterinarian and passed fit to start. The gelding sustained a minor injury to the off fore hoof in running.
 
SENSEOFWONDER - Raced wide for the majority.
 
CRYSTAL BEAR - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 3: THYNNE & MACARTNEY CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m

NO CRYSTAL BALL – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted A Spradau to ride the gelding 1kg overweight. Jumped outwards bumping with another runner. 
 
WHO AM I - As no other rider was available Stewards permitted D Ballard to ride the gelding .5kg overweight. 
 
ALIK - Proved difficult to load into the barriers. Bumped by another runner on jumping. Trainer J Morris was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
 
RED CHARMER - Bumped with another runner on jumping. 
 
HEREBANEEK - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
WHO AM I - Raced wide for the majority.
 
REAL MONTE - Raced wide for the majority.
 
AL MAH ROCKET - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: SPARROW HARRISON SNR MEMORIAL 0-60 HANDICAP 1400m  
 
EQUISTAR – Declared a late scratching at 3.04pm following concerns from rider D. Sparks. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on  EQUISTAR be refunded with no deductions to be applicable. Subsequently Stewards interviewed all concerned parties including Veterinarian Dr H Burton who was unable to detect any significant abnormalities prior to or following the late withdrawal of the gelding. Stewards nonetheless advised trainer G Tipping to monitor the geldings progress going forward and that a full veterinary examination must be performed with all findings forwarded to Stewards for consideration prior to the horse being permitted to race again.   
 
LAST SIDE – Broke through the barriers after being loaded and was immediately restrained. Examined by Veterinarian and passed fit to start.

GOOD JOB BRO - As no other rider was available Stewards permitted D Ballard to ride the gelding 1kg overweight. Raced wide rounding the 1200m turn.

SLITHERING SUZIE - Slow into stride. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
