General – App. K Patch was unable to attend today’s meeting due to injury. Rider changes were made as per the Stewards race day summary.
 
Race 1: MAIDEN PLATE 1000m  
 
CATE RULES – Slow to begin. At the 800m restrained off the heels of another runner.
 
REASON FOR TREASON – Raced wide for the majority.
 
DELILAH’S DREAM – Raced wide for the majority.
 
GOOD TO DREAM – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
TELLING STORIES – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
PIQABOO – On return to scale was found to have bled from both nostrils. This being the 1st episode connections were advised that the horse would be banned from racing for a period of 3 months, and must perform satisfactorily in a 1000m gallop before stewards.
 
Race 2: BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000m 
 
ALOTAFOX – Slow to begin.
 
GOT THE TICKETS – Raced wide for the majority.
 
AYLA’S ANGEL – Raced wide for the majority.
 
CAPT’N THUNDERBIRD – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
EMOCLEW – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
DUTCH TWIST – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 3: CLASS 4 PLATE 1000m   
 
ENCORONADA – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
BROOKLANDS – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
IMAPOET – Raced wide for the majority.
 
HOLOGRAM – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m 
 
GOLDSAY – Bounded outwards on jumping inconveniencing another runner. Raced wide for the majority.
 
DAN – Was inconvenienced by another runner which shifted out on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
BELAR BLUE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
GRAND SYMPHONY – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
ABBA ORIGINAL – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
MISS SIZZ – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
STAR SINGER – Slow to begin. Tired over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare Jockey J Hoopert advised Stewards that the mare, after being slow away, had failed to respond to his efforts over the concluding stages of the race.
 
Race 5: RATINGS BAND 0 – 60 HANDICAP 1400m         
 
ROCK AND SWING – Reared as the start was effected.
 
EXPLOSIVE MISSILE – Became unbalanced on jumping causing Jockey J Babarovich to lose his near side iron.
 
MOVING TARGET – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
DO I HAVE TO – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
FIRE RANGER – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
RIO ROSIE – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
MOVING TARGET- Hampered shortly after jumping away by another runner which shifted in.
 
CAPTAIN’S PICK- Shifted in shortly after jumping hampering another runner. Jockey B Richardson was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
