Race 1: Strongbow Rose Maiden Plate – 1250m  
 
UPTOWN TOFF - Due to a flight cancellation rider J. Stanley was unable to fulfil his engagement on the horse and was replaced by M. Abe. Shifted out on jumping, tightening runners to its outside.
 
THE GROVE – Began awkwardly and was then tightened for room and lost ground.
 
TRIGGER – After being slow to begin was then tightened for room. Shifted out near the 700m, forcing another runner wider.
 
LAPELS – Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CORTESTA – Began awkwardly. Momentarily forced wider near the 700m. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
VAN GAAL – Raced ungenerously when being restrained  leaving the 1000m and continued to do so for some distance, throwing its head in the air, and was unable to obtain clear running from the 400m until leaving the 200m.
 
FOLLOW THE MONEY – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CAFFÉ ROMANO – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: U Don’t Need A New Roof QTIS 3yo Maiden H’cap – 950m
 
AMELIA’S RAINBOW – Slow to begin.  Crowded for room near the 450m. Raced greenly throughout.
 
LUNCH WITH COOPS – When attempting a narrow run near the 200m was tightened for room by another runner, which shifted out. Shifted out near the 100m, hampering another runner when racing greenly. Raced greenly for the majority of the race.  
 
FLYING SARA – When racing greenly shifted out near the 200m, tightening a runner to its outside before being corrected. Raced greenly for the majority of the race.
 
GO JABBA – Shifted in near the 450m, crowding another runner. Hampered by another runner near the 100m. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
RIVERSIDE KITTEN – Began awkwardly.
 
JILTED GIRL – Slow to begin. Improved onto heels, having to be steadied approaching the winning post. Raced greenly throughout the event.
 
DUTCH ROCKET – Commenced to hang out under pressure approaching the winning post and continued to do so after passing the winning post. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s racing manners.
 
Race 3: Wolf Blass Wines Class 4 H’cap – 950m  
 
CENTENARIO -  Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WALLANDER – Slow to begin, then hampered by another runner, which shifted out. Improved onto heels near the 700m and shifted in when being restrained, inconveniencing another runner.
 
HOT SHOT HARRY – Began awkwardly and shifted out, hampering another runner.
 
FINE ‘N’ DEVINE – Inconvenienced by another runner which shifted in when being restrained near the 700m, and as a result had to be restrained.
 
FLINDERS HIWAY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
CHAPEL ROAD – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
 
 Race 4: Hedley Homes Class 5 H’cap – 1250m  
 
BLAZING STEEL – Crowded for room on jumping. Overraced in the early stages.
 
POLAR BLAST – Commenced to overrace shortly after the start and did so for some distance. Shifted in, bumping another runner near the 200m.
 
MISHANI WRANGLER – Bumped by another runner near the 200m. Resented racing in between runners approaching the winning post.
 
SALESMAN – Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
AGGARWAL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
 
Race 5: Traffic Services Class 2 H’cap – 1250m  
 
SUNNY SAILOR – Slow to begin.
 
SOLUMINATE – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.
 
POWER OF DIVAS – Shifted out on jumping, bumping another runner.
 
SO LITTLE TIME – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
DREAM I CAN – Had a tendency to overrace in the early and middle stages.
 
LANSALA – Improved onto heels leaving the 100m, having to alter course. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WHINGING WIFE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TAPTHETILL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
 
Race 6: IGA Cup Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1900m  
 
HOT SAGA – Jumped outwards at the start, tightening runners to its outside.
 
BARWON – Forced outwards at the start, having to be steadied.  Attempted to buck shortly after the start.  Trainer R. Miller was advised that a warning would be placed on the on the horse’s racing manners.  
 
BUSTER BLOCK – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Disappointed for a run near the 400m, having to be restrained.
 
FIRST STIMULUS – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously shortly after the start. Hung out rounding the 400m turn. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Trainer P. Rowe was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners.
 
CORINTH – Slow to begin.
 
THE FOX EFFECT – Began awkwardly.
 
ARMS RACE – Commenced to overrace near the 1400m, improving on to the heels of another runner, having to be restrained.
 
CYCLONE PATH – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
 
Race 7: Century Cranes Cairns Newmarket Open Quality H’cap – 1400m  
 
DIVINE SERVICE – Reared as the start was effected, dislodging its rider and taking no competitive part in the race. Trainer P. Rowe was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of stewards and obtain 2 consecutive barrier certificates prior to being permitted to race again.  
 
GREY MISSILE – Slow to begin and shifted out, making contact with another runner.
 
SNOWY MOET - Slow to begin and shifted out, making contact with another runner.
 
MR ATTITUDE - Slow to begin and shifted out, making contact with another runner.
 
SCHERZOSO – Began awkwardly and bumped by another runner shortly after the start.
 
BULLION WOLF – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CONFRONTING – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lacerations to both hind legs. Trainer Ms G. Bourke was advised a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the horse being permitted to start again.
 
DREAMS APLENTY – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have injured its near fore tendon. Trainer J. Zielke was advised a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the horse being permitted to start again.
