Race 1: LANDMARK CUNNAMULLA MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
The start time of this event was amended to 1:25pm due to club officials arriving late on course.
EXCEEDINGLY BRAVE – Slow into stride. Tailed off and proved uncompetitive throughout. Trainer J. Patterson advised that the gelding would be sent to spell following today’s event. Stewards advised Mr Patterson that a warning would be placed on the horse as well as the gelding would be restricted to racing at non-tab venues until its form improves.
REBELLION – Slow to begin.
THAT’S CORRECT – Began awkwardly. Bucked shortly after the start, tailing off and taking no part in the event. Trainer T. Mead was advised the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to returning to race.
Race 2: 'OIGLE' COLEMAN & 'DIGGER' HIGGINS MEMORIAL QTIS CLASS 2 PLATE (2YO & UP) – 1000m
COROGLEN – Taken out abruptly by another runner to the inside rounding the home turn and as result tailed off taking no competitive part in the home straight. Following the event Jockey S. Sweedman was assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service after suffering an injury to his leg and was subsequently stood down. Replacements and scratching’s as per stewards summary.
FANTASTIC HALO – Broke down rounding the home turn, shifting out abruptly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside. On inspection by the on course veterinarian it was determined the mare had suffered a fracture to the near fore fetlock and was subsequently euthanized on humane grounds.
Race 3:FRIENDLY GROCER CUNNAMULLA BENCHMARK 69 HANDICAP – 1000m
The start time of this evet was amended to 2:50pm.
TOCCO D’ORO –Improved onto heels approaching the 900m and was forced to ease for short distance.
ENJOYABLE – Began awkwardly.
MY COUSIN BOSSY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
ITS WANTED – Jockey S. McGovern replaced Jockey S. Sweedman. A post race veterinary examination determined the gelding had bled from both nostrils for the second time. Trainer W. Baker’s representative was advised the gelding would now be banned from racing in Australia for life in accordance with the provisions of AR.79.
HOT VINNI – Stood flatfooted and lost ground. Trainer B. Waldron was advised a warning would be placed in the gelding.
Race 4:CUNNAMULLA COFFEE SHOP BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1200m
The start time of this race was amended to 3:21pm
ANOTHER WEAPON – Began awkwardly.
SHONECK AFFAIR – Improved onto heels approaching the 800m and was forced to restrain.
SARGE BRIGARDE – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
MINAMAHAL – Hung out rounding the home turn.
BENDIE BOY – Declared a late scratching at 2:25pm due to no riders being available.
Race 5:BROWN & HURLEY TOOWOOMBA CUNNAMULLA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400m
The start time of this race was amended to 3:55pm.
YEEZY – Declared a late scratching at 2:25pm due to no suitable rider being available.

Race 6: GARRY AND JENNY WEBSTER BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1400m
The start of time of this event was amended to 4:40pm
IF BY CHANCE – Reared at the start and lost ground.
IMMUTABLE – Raced wide throughout the early and middle stages.
SIR CHARLESTON – Jockey D. Rewald was fined $100 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for excessive use of the whip.
