Race 1: MADAME WU QTIS 2YO Handicap 1100 metres
 
CHIEF ARTIE – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
CONEXY – Rider L Dittman dropped his whip passing the 100 metres.
 
NORTHERN WATER – Slow to begin.
 
ENTANGLEMENT – Slow into stride.
 
MISHANI ENCHANTED – Trainer L Ross was fined $100 for the late rider declaration on that filly. Momentarily held up making the turn into the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: RQ NAIDOC CELEBRATION RACE OPEN Handicap 2200 metres
 
LOTA CREEK GOLD – Lost off fore plate in running.
 
MORENDI – Laid in under pressure during the early stages of the home straight.
 
HAPPY GO PLUCKY – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
TORRENS – Rider M McGillivray reported despite his efforts, and with blinkers on for the first time, the horse over-raced severely throughout the race, leading the field by a considerable distance in the early and middle stages before weakening over the final 200 metres.
 
 
Race 3: CHU THE PHAT BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1350 metres
 
 
DENARIUS – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
TOOMAI – Slow to begin. Near the 300 metres raced tightly to the inside of ALPENDURADA which laid in at that point. A post-race veterinary examination of TOOMAI revealed a wound to the near hind coronet.
 
ALPENDURADA – Rider M McGillivray reported the gelding felt awkward in its action on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination of ALPENDURADA revealed no significant abnormalities. Lost off fore plate in running.
 
 
Race 4: THE SPORTS HUB QTIS 3YO C&G Handicap 1200 metres
 
Following the running of Race 3 the track was upgraded to a Good 3.
 
XERRI – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
JETTY – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Passing the 300 metres bumped with DOMINANT KING.
 
DOMINANT KING – Jumped in at the start bumping with ZAYDE. Passing the 300 metres bumped with JETTY.
 
BETTER LAD – Became unbalanced after contacting BELTARIA near the 300 metres.
 
COUNT THE COIN – Slow to begin.
 
BELTARIA – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
ZAYDE – Bumped on jumping.
 
 
Race 5: DUPORTH TAVERN QTIS 3YO Fillies Handicap 1200 metres
 
DUSTY TYCOON – Jumped out at the start and bumped BAD BARISTA.
 
DRAGON MISS – Jumped awkwardly and dipped on jumping. Near the 800 metres when over-racing had to be steadied from heels and shifted in bumping SISTA ELENORE. Near the 150 metres had to be eased off the heels of NOBLE WAR.
 
SISTA ELENORE – Jumped in at the start and bumped with NOBLE WAR.
 
BAD BARISTA – Bumped on jumping. Held up for clear running between the 300 metres and 100 metres and then shortly after was taken out across the heels of PLUTOCRAT to obtain clear running.
 
LITTLE MISS PIXIE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Had to be eased passing the 100 metres when crowded between JUBAI PRINCE and NOBLE WAR which was inclined to lay out.
 
NOBLE WAR – Jumped out at the start and bumped with SISTA ELENORE. Passing the 900 metres when racing keenly had to be steadied from the heels of DUSTY TYCOON.
 
 
Race 6: CASA CIBO Class 3 Plate 1050 metres
 
ICED – A post-race veterinary inspection revealed lacerations to the near foreleg, consistent with being galloped on in running.
 
RUUCA – Slow to begin.
 
GARIBALDI – Slow into stride after jumping awkwardly.
 
GLOBAL FACTOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Forced wider rounding the home-turn.
 
 
Race 7: BEACH HOUSE BENCHMARK 80 Handicap 1600 metres
 
PLITVICE – Inconvenienced on jumping away when CAPE WICKHAM shifted out.
 
RED STINA – Slow to begin. Rider T Harrison was suspended for a period of seven (7) days under AR132(5) for excessive use of the whip on 17 occasions, commencing midnight 27th November up to and including 4th December 2020. This term of suspension commences at the expiry of a previous suspension for careless riding incurred at Gatton on 12th November 2020.
 
KEDAH – Stable representative Mr M Eggleston advised stewards that the mare had come to the end of its preparation and would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination of KEDAH revealed a slow post-race recovery and also to be striding slightly shorter in front.
 
CAPE WICKHAM – Jumped out at the start bumping PLITVICE. Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 8: BOTTLE-O Class 6 Handicap 1100 metres
 
Start of this event was delayed when BOOMTOWN LASS needed to be re-plated on arrival at the barriers. The start was further delayed when I’VE GOTTA NEL required a bridle adjustment after being loaded into the barriers.
 
AWESOME PLUCK – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BOOMTOWN LASS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
PIZONIE – Tightened near the 800 metres.
 
NIEDORP – At the start was bumped and became unbalanced when MOUNTBATTEN shifted out. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
BETTER REFLECTION – Crowded for room and checked near the 800 metres. Apprentice G Cartwright, rider of NIEDORP, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that approaching the 800 metres she permitted her mount to shift in, tightening the running of PIZONIE which was taken in resulting in LUCKY FIX shifting in and crowding the running of BETTER REFLECTION which clipped the heels LUCKY FIX and lost ground. Apprentice Cartwrights license to ride in races was suspended for a period of twelve (12) days to commence midnight 21st November up to and including midnight 3rd December 2020.
 
MOUNTBATTEN – Began awkwardly then shifted out and bumped NIEDORP.  Proved difficult to settle near the 800 metres and raced with its head up for a short distance.
 
LUCKY FIX – Trainer B Ahrens was fined $100 for the late rider declaration on that gelding. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Checked near the 800 metres. M Hellyer, rider of WEBOUGHTAZOU, pleaded guilty to of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that near the 800 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of LUCKY FIX which had to be checked. The license of M Hellyer to ride in races was suspended for a period of ten (10) days to commence midnight 21st November up to and including midnight 1st December 2020. In considering penalty Stewards took into account M Hellyer’s record in determining penalty. Held up for clear running between the 300 metres and the 200 metres.
 
 
 
Race 9: RAWGROUP HOSPITALITY KEITH NOUD 1200 metres
 
DEEP IMAGE – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
HARD EMPIRE – Had difficulty obtaining clear running for the majority of the home straight.
 
SPURCRAFT – Held up for clear running between the 400 metres and 200 metres and again over the concluding stages.
 
FREDDIE FOX TROT – Raced three wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of FREDDY FOX TROT revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Trainer L Kelly was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start.
 
KRONE – Near the 200 metres had to be eased from the heels of REMOVAL.
 
SOXAGON – Slow to begin. Brushed the running rail near the 700 metres when racing in restricted room. Dislodged off side winker leaving the 400 metres.
