Race 1: TAB VENUE MODE QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Plate 1200 metres
 
FIRST CRUSADE – Bumped at the start. Near the 200 metres bumped and carried in by PRINCESS SALLY.
 
GENERAL WOLFFE – Began awkwardly shifted in bumping FIRST CRUSADE. Shifted in under pressure near the 200 metres. Raced greenly throughout.
 
PRINCESS SALLY – Near the 200 metres bumped and carried in by GENERAL WOLFFE, which when racing greenly, shifted in under pressure.
 
 
Race 2: BEST BRED BOOMS SELL IN 2021 QTIS 3-Y-O Maiden Handicap 1660 metres
 
DIVULGE – Bumped with KOLLUR approaching 400 metres. Rider R Maloney momentarily lost use of his near side rein approaching the 300 metres.
 
HANGIN' HIGH – Over-raced in the early stages before shifting out three wide near the 1200 metres to improve and progress forward to race outside the leader near the 1000 metres.
 
KOLLUR – Bumped with DIVULGE approaching the 400 metres. (Beaten 1.60 fav). Rider J Byrne reported the filly may not have backed up from its most recent start at Doomben on 23rd December 2020. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A post-race swab sample was taken from KOLLUR.
 
BOOM RAIDER – Slow to begin.
 
MOONLIGHT ECLIPSE – Shortly after the start hampered when SEMIFOX shifted out. Near the 350 metres, when laying out, was checked to avoid the heels of HANGIN’ HIGH which when compounding shifted in. R Wiggins, rider of HANGIN’ HIGH was reprimanded under AR131(a) for permitting his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear.
 
SEMIFOX – Jumped out at the start.
 
 
Race 3: SKY RACING Class 2 Handicap 1350 metres
 
DEGAS – Slow to begin and settled further back in the field more than anticipated. Passing the 800 metres was placed close to the on the heels of RICHETTI and had to be steadied. As a result was then awkwardly placed between YOUNGBLOOD and INCORRUPTIBILITY to the inside before shifting in.
 
YOUNGBLOOD – Bumped at the start. Rider R Maloney reported that receiving a bump near the 700 metres then had a tendency to layout and was one-paced from that point. A post-race veterinary examination of YOUNGBLOOD revealed no abnormalities other than a slow post-race recovery.
 
BLITZEN PASTURE – Laid out in the home straight.
 
BELLISSIMI AMICI – Shifted out at the start and bumped YOUNGBLOOD before shifting in and bumping INCORRUPTIBILITY. Laid out in the home straight.
 
INCORRUPTIBILITY – Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 700 metres, when racing in restricted room, to the inside of DEGAS and was tightened before being checked. Approaching the 400 metres awkwardly placed to the inside of the heels of OUR FRAULEIN.
 
RICHETTI – Near the 800 metres when the pace was excessively slowed improved onto the heels of BLITZEN PASTURE, and was then awkwardly placed between BLITZEN PASTURE and AVOWAL before being steadied. T Marshall, rider of BLITZEN PASTURE was found guilty of a charge under AR131(d) in that passing the 800 metres he excessively slowed the pace of the race resulting in RICHETTI being awkwardly placed on heels before being steadied and losing ground, inconveniencing DEGAS which in turn lost ground and shifted in resulting in INCORRUPTIBILITY being checked. The license of T Marshall to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven (7) days to commence midnight 8th January up to and including 15th January 2021. In determining penalty stewards took into account the racing manners of RICHETTI and T Marshall’s good riding record under this rule.

Race 4: HELLBENT FIRST CROP AT MAGIC MILLIUONSMAIDEN PLATE 1200 metres
 
AURON – Rider R Maloney reported the colt lost concentration throughout the race. Bumped and taken wider on the track over the final 100 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of AURON revealed no abnormalities.
 
OFF ROAD – Slow to begin.
 
ZOU SOME DAMAGE – Slow to begin.
 
EULEILAH – Slow to begin.
 
DEEL BLASTER – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight and bumped with AURON near the 100 metres.
 
 
Race 5: XXXX Class 1 Handicap 1050 metres
 
INCHEON EXPRESS – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
SEA DRAGON – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Severely hampered and carried extremely wide from the 800 metres and lost considerable ground.
 
AONACH MOR – Knuckled at the start.
 
AZZAREACH – Near the 50 metres steadied away from the heels of BLEU ZEBRA which shifted in.
 
LITTLE VULPINE – Began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages and near the 800 metres hung out badly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed small laceration to the off foreleg and slow pace race recovery. Trainer T Thomas was advised LITTLE VULPINE must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
 
BETTER RUSH – Shifted near fore plate in tie-up stalls prior to the event. A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the filly to start.
 
 
 
Race 6: TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION Class 3 Handicap 1660 metres
 
SMART METEOR – Slow to begin.
 
MISHANI SECRET – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
MOSSHIKI – In the home straight laid in.
 
 
Race 7: MOUNT FRANKLIN QTIS 3-Y-O BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1200 metres
 
HANCORA FIELD – Raced three wide throughout without cover. Laid in near the 500 metres.
 
BOOM SPENDER – Began awkwardly.
 
ASPEN LAD – Rider M Rodd reported the gelding was inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages.
 
DRAGON MISS – Bumped at the start.
 
JUBAI PRIDE – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to a position closer to the rail.
 
MISTRESS OF DOOM – Began awkwardly shifted in and bumped DRAGON MISS. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed a degree of mucous in the nearside nostril and also to have a poor post-race recovery. Co-trainer W Hulbert advised MISTRESS OF DOOM would now be spelled.
 
SAKURA STAR – Approaching the 1000 metres bumped with MISTRESS OF DOOM and over-raced for a short distance. Near the 500 metres tightened for room between BOOM SPENDER which shifted out and HANCORA FIELD which was inclined to lay in.
 
 
Race 8: DOREEN BIRD BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1200 metres
 
KIEVANN – Held up for clear running from the 200 metres and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
REUS – Near the 250 metres shifted out and bumped HERITAGE SASH. Over the concluding stages steadied when tightened between DRUMADOIR and KIEVANN which shifted out. Rider B Stewart could offer no explanation for the below market performance.
 
FISH ON – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
HERITAGE SASH – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 250 metres bumped by REUS which shifted out to improve. Apprentice J Huxtable could offer no explanation for the below market performance. A post-race veterinary examination of HERITAGE SASH revealed no abnormalities.
 
RINVIATA – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
REST OF THE WORLD – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages. Raced three wide cover.
