As App N. Keal was indisposed due to personal reasons and jockey M. Du Plessis was ill Stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: Madison Cleaning Services Class 3 Plate – 1825m
 
MISS SHANTI – Slow into stride.
 
ADVANCE WARNING – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly. Proved difficult to settle and was allowed to stride forward near the 1500m.
 
VIHARI – Proved very difficult to settle with the slow pace in the early and middle stages.
 
ROMAN DOLL – Held up and unable to obtain clear running from the 450m until passing the 150m.
 
SPEAKING BAD – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: Brisbane Neurosurgery Benchmark 78 Handicap – 1600m
 
SEE THE MASTER – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer’s representative P. Shailer was advised that a veterinary clearance must be produced, including  the results of an ECG and the gelding must trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
SAY I CEE YOU – Slow to begin.
 
JACKPOT JAY – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
POLEMIC – Made contact with RECKLESS CHOICE approaching the 300m when attempting to come to the outside of LULU EXPRESS to obtain clear running.
 
THE TAX ACCOUNTANT – Jockey J. Bayliss dropped his whip near the 250m.
 
 
Race 3: Madison Cleaning Services Fillies & Mares NMW Handicap – 1200m
 
The start was delayed when SMUG SATISFACTION dislodged its rider en route to the barriers, was quickly captured, underwent a veterinary examination behind the gates and was cleared to start.
 
COPYWRITER – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.
 
TYCOON STREET – Crowded shortly after the start between MALMOOSA and OKANAGAN MISS, which shifted in. Jockey M. Hellyer (OKANAGAN MISS) was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
 
HIDDEN GODDESS – Proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
 
SMUG SATISFACTION – Laid inwards passing the 200m obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount.
 
MOCCASIN MISS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
INDY BONBON – A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be short  striding in front.
 
 
Race 4: UMS School Wear Open Handicap – 1200m
 
THE CANDY MAN – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
ZOOMING – Jumped away awkwardly and in doing so made contact with SNITZ. Pulled hard in the middle stages.
 
SNOOPY – Bumped SCALLOPINI on jumping.
 
SCALLOPINI – Bumped SNOOPY on jumping.
 
SNITZ – Pulled hard in the middle stages. Passing the 500m had to be eased when racing keenly and awkwardly placed at the heels of SNOOPY.
 
CADOGAN – Commenced to overrace and as a result was allowed to stride forward near the 800m and in doing so raced three wide without cover.
 
 
Race 5: Programmed Property Services QTIS 3YO Handicap – 1400m
 
EPICURIOUS – Slow to begin.
 
LADY APPLETON – Proved very difficult to settle in the early stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have an ulcer in the near side cheek.
 
GRAND ZOU - Proved very difficult to settle in the early stages.
 
PROFIT – Raced wide from the 600m.
 
MISS CAVALLO – Held up for clear running between the 400m and 200m.
 
Race 6: QSCAN Radiology Clinics Benchmark 70 Handicap – 1400m
 
KARAKABEEL – Slow into stride.
 
SO INVINCIBLE – Slow into stride after jumping away awkwardly.
 
RISE TO FAME – Got its head up when proving difficult to settle approaching the 1000m.
 
DREAMTIMER – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
ALPINE DANCER – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be displaying slight pain on flexion of the near fore fetlock but no lameness.
 
Race 7: Ascot Plumbing Class 6 Handicap – 1000m
 
Correct weight was delayed when R. Stewart the rider of third placegetter SANGLIER wanted to view the patrol films to ascertain whether he had grounds to lodge a protest. After viewing the films Jockey Stewart advised he did not wish to proceed.
 
GATLINBURG – Slow to begin. Hung inwards in the straight placing its rider at a disadvantage. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Co-trainer C. Meagher will be advised that a warning will be placed on the gelding’s racing manners.
 
TAKES TIME – Lost ground on jumping when crowded between CABEIRIAN, which was carried inwards by SANGLIER and ADORADANCER, which was carried outwards by MEMES. Laid inwards abruptly over the concluding stages.
 
ADORADANCER – Lost ground after having to be checked shortly after the start off the heels of MEMES, which shifted outwards. Unable to secure clear running between the 400m and 100m.
 
LIFESAVER - Unable to secure clear running between the 400m and 200m.
 
COOL SEQUENCE – Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.  
 
MEMES – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SANGLIER – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 8: Clear Insurance Open Handicap – 1600m
 
AQUA VITE – The Stable advised the intention would be to settle the gelding further back in the field if circumstances permit. After beginning well and not being pressured early the gelding settled in a forward position.
 
MORENDI – Trainer D. Graham advised the gelding would be ridden further back in the field if circumstances permit. The gelding was ridden accordingly.
 
FIT FOR PURPOSE – After becoming lose in the tie-up area was captured, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Held up and unable to improve between the 600m and 400m.
 
OUTRAGED – Slow to begin.
 
MAGNUFIGHTER – Laid out under pressure near the 100m and in doing so momentarily inconvenienced TESTASHADOW.
 
TESTASHADOW – Momentarily inconvenienced near the 100m.
 
Race 9: TAB Colts, Geldings & Entires NMW Handicap – 1200m
 
As jockey B. Appo had commitments at Toowoomba tonight and was unable to fulfil his riding engagement on ALMAS Stewards permitted Andrew Spinks to be substituted as the rider. Jockey Appo was fined $100.
 
SNIPSTREAM – When being led by the pony behind the barriers may have been struck during this process and was subsequently examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
COLOSSEUM KING – Lost ground when crowded shortly after the start.
 
MAIL ESCORT – Near the 800m whilst racing keenly had to be eased and taken outwards away from the heels of MAGIC LAD, which shifted in.
 
MAGIC LAD – Raced three wide without cover from the 800m.
 
GO DIXIE – Got its head up when racing keenly passing the 800m. Momentarily steadied making the turn into the straight when HERZEGOVINA rolled outwards. Approaching the 400m was again eased off the heels of HERZEGOVINA.
 
CORAL BAY – Near the 600m shifted outwards abruptly after being checked away from the heels of ALMAS, which shifted out.
 
PARK CHINOIS – Had difficulty obtaining clear running on a couple of occasions over the final 400m.
 
CONSTANT FLIGHT – Held up for clear running between the 400m and 200m.
