SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
GENERAL
Race 1: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1400 metres
MOONAN ME –Began awkwardly. Carried wider on the track when SUPER EFFORT shifted out under pressure.
SUPER EFFORT –Laid out under pressure over final 150 metres.
GEORGIE'S PRIDE –Over-raced in early and middle stages of the event. Hung out rounding the home-turn despite the efforts of its rider. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a slow post-race recovery rate.
ELEUTHERA –Held up in early stages of the home straight.
Race 2: ALCYONE HOTEL & RESIDENCE BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 2206 metres
Start was delayed approximately two minutes when LINCOLN SKY required farriery attention on arrival at the barriers.
NEPTUNE'S CHOICE –Over-racedfor majority of the event.
SPEAKING BAD –Trainer G Duncan advised in his opinion the mare did not appreciate todays track conditions.
Race 3: XXXX DRY Maiden Handicap 1000 metres
LOUIS JANUARY – Slow to begin.
BOOM EXPRESS – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
LUCKY ENUFF – Dipped passing the 400 metres.
MY ADELINE – Raced keenly for a short distance passing 800 metres.
RIGHT REASON – Slow to begin.
DREAM WEAVING – Near 800 metres eased off heels of LYRICAL GIRL which shifted in when not fully clear. R Maloney, rider of LYRICAL GIRL, was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
SOMEBODY LOVES YOU – Raced three wide majority.
Race 4: BRC SPRING CARNIVAL ON SALE Class 4 Plate 1200 metres
SHOGUN SUN – Slow to begin. Rider T Harrison was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
NORTHERN RIVER – Crowded on jumping.
Race 5: EVA AIR Class 3 Handicap 1600 metres
GOLLY HUTT – App M Wishart was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
SAYL – Raced three wide in early and middle stages. Rider L Dittman was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
LACEY LYNX PACK – Over-raced in the early stages.
TWILIGHTER – Held up for clear running near the 300 metres.
ULTIMATE RING – Slow to begin.
LADY RINGO – Slow to begin.
RESET'S SON – After arriving on-course, slipped in the tie up stalls sustaining minor abrasions to nearside hock. Examined by club Veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
Race 6: BRC - LIKE NOWHERE ELSE IN BRISBANE Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
GOLD CHORUS – Slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start.
GOLDEN MISSILE – Bumped with FROM NOW near 200 metres. Crowded for room leaving the 200 metres between FROM NOW and ARISE MY SON which shifted out.
TRADUCE – Crowded for room shortly after the start. laid in under pressure in the home straight.
BOOMI'S BUDDY – Slow to begin.
ELOTROLADO – Over-raced in the early stages. Near the 700 metres put in an awkward stride.
FROM NOW – Bumped with GOLDEN MISSILE near 200 metres.
GREYT INTENTIONS – Raced three wide in early and middle stages.
LITTLE NATURAL – Held up for clear running from 150 metres until leaving the 100 metres.
TEXAS TRAMP – Slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start.
STYK AT IT – Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
Race 7: TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY BENCHMARK 68 Handicap 1400 metres
DANAWI – Slow to begin. Ridden forward to obtain the position outside the leader near the 900m.
SAME OLD – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
SUILVEN – Laid out passing the 200m.
TOP ME UP AGAIN – Raced in restricted room approaching the 200 metres.
COASTAL PRINCE – Checked approaching the 200m. App J Huxtable, rider of TOPME UP AGAIN was found guilty of careless riding under AR131(a) in that approaching the 200m, when attempting a run to the inside of LUBUK, he continued to ride his mount along when insufficiently clear to do so, resulting in COASTAL PRINCE being checked. Apprentice Huxtable’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 5th September and to expire midnight 15th September 2020. In assessing penalty Stewards deemed the interference to be mid-range, however took into account mitigating factors associated with the incident.
LUBUK – Laid in passing the 200m.
Race 8: CASCADE RATINGS BAND 0 - 70 Handicap 1000 metres
MOLLYS ROCKING – After taking initial evidence from rider A Mallyon, Stewards adjourned an inquiry into tactics adopted on the mare in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
