Race 1: THOROUGHBRED RACING HISTORY ASSOCIATION Fillies & Mares Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
CHARM BRACELET (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Passing the 600m improved onto the heels of THINK SHE’S GOOD (NZ) and was restrained.
 
THINK SHE’S GOOD (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Performed below market expectations, rider G Boss reported that the filly may have choked down during today’s event. Trainer T Gollan reported that he will apply a tongue tie and ear muffs in future starts. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings.
 
YESMEENA – Began awkwardly. Near the 500m shifted out to improve and bumped with SPILL QUEEN.
 
PRINCESS TENKO - Over-raced in the early stages.
 
SPILL QUEEN – Near the 500m bumped and carried wider.
 
DAULAT MACHTIGAMOR – Bumped on jumping.
 
 
Race 2: MOUNT FRANKLIN Colts, Geldings & Entires Maiden
Handicap 1200 metres
 
PIVOTAL MOTION – Raced three wide throughout.
 
VICTORIA PARK – Inclined to lay in over the final 300m.
 
FRONTMAN – Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 800m shifted in and made contact with the rail. Held up round rounding home turn.
 
GAVE US UP – From the wide barrier was permitted to stride and take up a leading position.
 
VANTAN EXPRESS – Over-raced in the early stages.
 
BUDDY FAST – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
HERTZKA – Stood flat footed and lost ground. Near the 500m was steadied with racing in restricted to the inside of VICTORIA PARK and MOONSHINE which shifted out.
 
Race 3: TAB VENUE MODE Class 1 Plate 1400 metres
 
FLYING EUROS – Slow to begin. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
SOKUDO – Slow to begin.
 
KRAVITZ – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
YOURJOKINGME RIGHT – Performed below market expectation. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings.
 
ALIGNMENT – Over the concluding stages white
 
QUEEN OF THE NIGHT – Slow to begin. Hung out for the majority. Checked near the 200m when racing to the inside of STRYKING PRINCESS (App S Tomlinson) which shifted in. Apprentice S Tomlinson pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that near the 200m he shifted in when insufficiently clear of QUEEN OF THE NIGHT resulting in that runner being checked and lost ground. Apprentice S Tomlinson’s permit to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 9/05/21 and expire midnight 18/05/21.
 
GAELIC – Tightened for room near the 200m.
 
DARCHINIAN – Near the 200m shifted slightly before being correct by its rider.
 
Jockey M Rodd and Apprentice S Tomlinson was examined by the Club’s Doctor following their rides in this event and stood down from their remaining rides. Replacements as per summary.
 
Race 4:SKY RACING BENCHMARK 85 Handicap 1400 metres
 
SEA RAIDER – In the middle stages when over-racing steadied from heels of SAFIN on a number of occasions.
 
BOLD WARRIOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SAFIN – Slow to begin. From the wide barrier was permitted to stride forward and to a position outside the leader near the 1000m.
 
JAY JAY D'AR (NZ) – Near the 150m obliged to alter course and shifted outside of SAFIN to improve.
 
THE TAX ACCOUNTANT – Slow to begin.
 
RATHER SALUBRIOUS (NZ) – In the early part of the home straight laid in.
 
BONAPARTE – Began awkwardly. Performed below market expectations. Rider J Byrne could not offer any tangible explanation into the geldings disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination of BONAPARTE identified poor post-race recovery. Trainer S Kendrick advised Stewards that the gelding will now be sent for a spell.
 
 
Race 5:STRADBROKE SEASON ON SALE NOW QTIS Three-Years-Old
Handicap 1845 metres
 
PERNELL – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
CALM SEEKER (NZ) – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced in restricted room between PERNELL and CRIMINAL DEFENCE passing the 1600m. Approaching and passing the 600m was tightened for room between KIRKEBY which shifted in and CRIMINAL DEFENCE which shifted out to improve.  
 
FORTIFIED (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
CRIMINAL DEFENCE – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up for clear running entering the home straight until a point passing the 200m.
 
MISHANI WHISPER – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 6: CARNIVAL PLUS MEMBERSHIP Class 2 Handicap 1000 metres
 
BOLD HUNTER – Began awkwardly shifted out.
 
AQUAJAK – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SPIRIT HOUSE – Began awkwardly. Near the 800m restrained from the heels of ONE SHY RUBY which shifted in. Rider R Maloney reported that his mount was inclined to lay in throughout.
 
ONE SHY RUBY – Hampered on jumping.
 
CANUSEE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
THE DIAMOND – Hampered on jumping. Near the 100m was steadied from heels when SPIRIT HOUSE shifted in under pressure. Rider R Maloney was reminded of his obligations when allowing his mounts to shift ground.
 
VIVID FORTRESS – Slow to begin
 
BEFANA – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
Race 7: CANADIAN CLUB BENCHMARK 80 Handicap 1000 metres
 
PIZONIE – Blundered on jumping.
 
WEBOUGHTAZOU
 
BOLD XAVVI – On jumping was tightened between runners and lost ground. Near the 800m was restrained when tightened for room to the inside of TABATHA MISS (M McGillivray) which was taken in by BLUE ODYSSEY(T Brooker) which shifted in. Jockey T Brooker was reprimanded under AR131(a). Near the 500m was restrained when placed in restricted room to the inside of TABATHA MISS which was again taken in by BLUE ODYSSEY which shifted in when insufficiently clear.  Jockey T Brooker was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) for the above-mentioned interference. Jockey T Brooker’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence cumulative to a suspension she received at Rockhampton 29/04/21, midnight 26/05/21 and expire midnight 6/06/21.
 
ONE STRYKE – Near the 400m improved onto the heels of BOLD XAVVI and shifted out. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

NO DOUBT ACRACKER – Raced three wide throughout.
 
BLUE ODYSSEY – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
TABATHA MISS – Began awkwardly. Near the 800m was raced in restricted room to the inside of BLUE ODYSSEY which shifted in, again near the 400m was taken in by BLUE ODYSSEY. Entering the straight was restrained when awkwardly placed at the heels of JULIE’S SPIRIT shifted out to improve. Jockey L Cassidy was reprimanded under AR131(a).

WOWSERS – Began awkwardly.
 
MAN OF SINN (NZ) – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
SEE MARIE – Began awkwardly.
