SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
From Eagle Farm 5/6/21 PURRFECT DEAL – Trainer Michael Costa reported to Stewards that following the event PURRFECT DEAL pulled up lame with bruising to the sole of the near fore sole and is currently undergoing farrier treatment in the stable. 
 
 
Race 1: NOVA 106.9 OXLADE STAKES 1200 metres
 
WARRIOR HERO – Jumped out at the start and bumped CARRIBEAN KING.
 
CARRIBEAN KING (NZ) – Bumped at the start.
 
KING HIGH – Began awkwardly.
 
MAOTAI – Raced keenly throughout. Laid out under pressure over final 200 metres.
 
LIME SODA – From a wide barrier restrained at the start to a rearward position. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced three wide for majority of the event.  
 
 
Race 2: RADIOTAB THE WAYNE WILSON 1600 metres
 
KEMENTARI – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
KINGS WILL DREAM (IRE) – Shifted out and away from the heels of DELPHI near the 300 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled both nostrils for the first time. Trainer C Waller was advised KINGS WILL DREAM would be stood down under AR79(4) for a period of 3 months and must gallop 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward prior to its next race start.
 
DELPHI (IRE) – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3: JAMES SQUIRE GUNSYND CLASSIC 1600 metres
 
ELLSBERG – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
PUNTURA (NZ) – Near the 700 metres had to steadied away from the heels of STAROSA and then raced wide from that point for the remainder of the event.
 
DUNE FORTY FIVE – Slow into stride after being bumped at the start.
 
STAROSA – Raced three wide from the 800 metres.
 
 
 
Race 4: LEXUS BRISBANE CUP 3200 metres
 
CARIF – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. T Berry, rider of CARIF, was fined $300 under AR131(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
 
KNIGHTS ORDER (IRE) – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
LORD BELVEDERE (GB) – Eased by its rider over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
SWEET THOMAS (GER) – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: SKY RACING Q22 2200 metres
 
ZAAKI (GB) – Near the 1200 metres raced keenly for a short distance.
 
HOMESMAN (USA) – Raced three wide without cover from the 1200 metres.
 
WARNING – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BRANDENBURG (NZ) – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
RELOADED – Jumped in at the start. Left a trailing position at the 1200 metres and raced three wide to race outside the leader from the 1000 metres.
 
HANG MAN (IRE) – Bumped at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be display signs of the thumps.
 
PATHS OF GLORY (GB) – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
THE CANDY MAN – Trainer B Baldwin was fined $200 under LR67 for the late declaration of rider on the gelding. Rider reported the gelding had made a respiratory noise on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
NETTOYER – Raced three wide throughout.
 
TOFFEE TONGUE (NZ) – Eased out of the race passing the 800 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have displaced filler in the off fore hoof. Connections advised TOFFEE TONGUE would now be sent for a spell.
 
CELLARMAID – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 6: JIM BEAM BLACK HINKLER HANDICAP 1200 metres
 
PASSAGE OF TIME – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
KING OF HASTINGS – Bumped at the start.
 
SOUTHERN LAD – Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
GARIBALDI – Bumped at the start. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
GEE TEE TEE – Began awkwardly.
 
SUPERIUM – At the start restrained from a wide draw to a rearward position closer to the rails.
 
 
Race 7: TREASURY BRISBANE J.J. ATKINS 1600 metres
 
TIGER OF MALAY – Crowded between runners at the start and lost ground. Over-raced and proved difficult to settle in the early stages. Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
 
CONVERGE – Began awkwardly.
 
SUBTERRANEAN – Over-raced and got its head up when over-racing between the 1400 metres and the 1200 metres.

OVERPASS – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be displaying signs of the thumps.
 
PORT LOUIS – A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg and coughing. Connections were advised the colt would require a veterinary clearance including results of an endoscopic examination prior to its next race start.
 
RANCH HAND – Disappointed for a run near the 300 metres.
 
BLUSHING TYCOON – Jumped in at the start. Raced three wide for the majority of the event.
 
OVERMANN – Shifted out at the start and crowded GIANNIS.
 
CAPE BRETON – Slow to begin.
 
GIANNIS – Crowded at the start and lost ground. Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
INVINSIBLE TEARS – Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
 
 
Race 8: TAB STRADBROKE HANDICAP 1400 metres
 
TOFANE (NZ) – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
IMAGING (GB) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
OLMEDO (FR) – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SO SI BON – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Momentarily held up shortly after entering the home straight. Steadied near the 100 metres when THE HARROVIAN shifted out.
 
WILD PLANET – Raced wide with cover for the majority of the event. Approaching the 400 metres steadied from the heels of VICTOREM which was carried out by OUTBACK BARBIE.
 
NICCANOVA – Improved onto heels near 1000 metres and got its head up for a short distance.
 
VICTOREM – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Carried out by OUTBACK BARBIE near the 400 metres.
 
VEGA ONE – Jumped out at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lacerations to the off hind leg, consistent with being galloped on.
 
THE HARROVIAN – Disappointed for a run between the 400 metres and 150 metres.
 
SIGNORE FOX – Disappointed for a run near the 300 metres.
 
SUBPOENAED (NZ) – Raced wide with cover for majority of the event. Inconvenienced near the 400 metres when runners to the inside shifted out.
 
MASTER JAMIE – Crowded at the start and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
 
 
Race 9: MAGIC MILLIONS DANE RIPPER STAKES 1300 metres
 
ODEUM – Raced four wide without cover for the majority of the event.
 
MADAM ROUGE – Raced three wide with cover the majority of the event. Eased off the heels of SIERRA SUE when shifting out to obtain clear running near the 400 metres.
 
REELEM IN RUBY – Raced three wide without cover the majority of the event.
 
SIERRA SUE (NZ) – Raced four wide with cover for the majority of the event.
 
EXHILARATES – Raced three wide with cover the majority of the event.
 
LYRE – Momentarily crowded near the 150 metres.
