GENERAL


Race 1: TAB Class 3 Handicap 1400 metres

ENTERPRISE MOSS Slow into stride. Inclined to lay in when under pressure in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities. When asked to comment regarding the gelding’s performance, Apprentice K.Cowan said her instructions were to be positive and settle in a midfield position. However after beginning slowly, was then forced to settle at the tail of the field. She added that the gelding never travelled well. App. K.Cowan stated that it may not have appreciated the tight turning track and would benefit from distances further than todays’. Trainer M.Lakey also added that ENTERPRISE MOSS had been freshened since its most recent start and agreed that it may not have appreciated the tight turning track.

ABOVE THE SKY Tightened shortly after the start. Near the 1200m made contact with the rail.

QUEEN OF MANHATTAN Jockey N.Tomizawa was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.

Race 2: JASON DIETE - LOCKYER VALLEY PAINTING Class 1 Plate 1600 metres

NICE RETORT Near the 900m tightened for racing room.

WHISTLINDIXIE LAD Raced wide for the majority.

BOREAS Bumped on jumping.

BROOKER AVENUE Passing the 400m had difficulty obtaining clear running.

EVENING Laid in near the 900m. Underwent a post race veterinary examination at the request of Trainer R.Mackay, that determined the mare had a poor post race recovery.

HEATHER JOAN Buffered between runners on jumping and lost ground. Jockey G.Goomany was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.

NO MORE ROSES Trainer B.Robinson advised that the gelding would be ridden in a more forward position than recent starts if circumstances permit. Began awkwardly. After being ridden from the gates could not muster sufficient speed and settled further back than anticipated.

WINERIES Bumped on jumping.

Race 3: HAYMANS ELECTRICAL TRADE SUPPLIES GATTON Maiden Handicap 860 metres
The start was delayed due to CITRUS BURST being difficult to load.

SHELLEY'S SPIRIT Trainer T.Pascoe was fined $100 for the late rider declaration.

CITRUS BURST Raced wide throughout.

MAKE MINE MAGIC Slow into stride.

SASANQUAS Slow into stride.

JIM'S PRINCESS Laid out in the home straight when placed under pressure. After passing the line, veered out, jumping the outside rail, dislodging its rider. Jockey B.Ainsworth was examined by QAS and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements. JIM’S PRINCESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the filly had suffered an injury to its off side stifle. The filly was treated on course and was referred for further examination. Trainer M.Boland was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the filly resuming.

Race 4: PARK RIDGE PIRATES AIMING FOR 3 IN A ROW Maiden Plate 1400 metres

ARATULA Jockey N.Morton was reprimanded for use of the whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, two more than permitted.

TORQUE TO ROMAN Steadied near the 600m when ZEDAQUA shifted out to improve.

DE NOVA STELLA Raced wide majority.

GOMATHI Slow into stride.

ZEDAQUA Slow into stride. Apprentice M.Kennedy was advised to exercise more care when changing positions.

REDENZO BULLET Raced wide majority.

Race 5: HAINES CONSTRUCTIONS Fillies & Mares BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres

SHE'LL STRYKEYA Slow into stride.

PETITE ELLE Near the 500m improved onto heels and was obliged to steady. Approaching the 350m was held up for clear running.

SHEINDLIN Began awkwardly.

SWAN ISLAND Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer B.Gorman was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start.

Race 6: OZLAV PLUMBING Colts, Geldings & Entires BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres

TURBO TEDDY Raced three and four wide throughout.

SCARE CAMPAIGN Slow into stride.

LOVE RUSH Stood flat footed and attempted to buck. Trainer S.Tregea was advised that the gelding must trial to the stewards satisfaction prior to its next race start.

LWAZI Rounding the home turn improved onto the heels of the tiring BLAZING HARADA and was obliged to steady and alter direction.

BLAZING HARADA Began awkwardly. Raced three wide majority.
