Acting on a report from members of the QRIC IIT, stewards opened an inquiry into the suspicious activities of Mr B. Xantos a licensed stablehand and part-owner of SHE’S A YOUEFFOH in the stables occupied by licensed trainer Mr L. Kelly. After taking initial evidence from the IIT members, Mr Kelly and Mr Xantos stewards were concerned that the actions of Mr Xantos compromised the propriety of the race if SHE’S A YOUEFFOH was permitted to start. Therefore under the provision of AR8(m) stewards declared SHE’S A YOU EFFOH a late scratching at 1.54 p.m. Stewards ordered that blood and urine samples be taken from SHE’S A YOUEFFOH and Mr Kelly’s remaining runners today. The inquiry was adjourned to a time and date to be fixed to allow the analysis of the samples taken today.
