Stewards permitted the following late withdrawals due to the track downgrades:-

Race 1 – TAB QTIS 2YO C&G MAIDEN PLATE – 900M
 
Imitari – Began awkwardly.
 
Shy Boy – Hampered at the start. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
Ramblin Man – Made heavy contact with the running rail near the 600m and became unbalanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained a superficial laceration to its off hind cannon.
 
Zeeluck – Laid in passing the 600m.
 
Poetic Choice – Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 2 – TAB QTIS 2YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE – 900M
 
Tillys Star – Began very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Flick – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Dwarf – Approaching the 500m was eased when awkwardly placed at the heels of Flick. Raced greenly in the home straight and approaching the winning post had to be steadied away from the heels of Luana.
 
Better Than Gold – Shifted ground under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
After the running of this event the track was downgraded to a Heavy 9.
 
 
Race 3 – TAB QTIS 2YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE – 900M
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Jockey A Spinks (Shes Whittie) reviewed the patrol video to ascertain whether he had grounds to lodge an objection against Clever Miss (L Dittman) the 3rd placegetter. Jockey Spinks subsequently decided not to proceed and correct weight was declared.
 
Our Girl Wanda – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
Lyrical Girl – Hampered by Our Girl Wanda at the start. Approaching the 600m was steadied from heels.
 
Take Tea – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 600m was steadied when tightened for room by Clever Miss (L Dittman) which shifted in and then hung out for a short distance thereafter. Jockey L Dittman was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
Clever Miss – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Shes Whittie – Raced 4 wide without cover throughout. Leaving the 100m was hampered by Clever Miss which shifted out and as a consequence was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages.
 
Mishani Romance – Raced wide throughout. Bumped approaching the 500m.
 
All Boom – Raced wide throughout. Bumped approaching the 500m.
 
Jazz Queen – Hung out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 4 – TAB MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1200M
 
The track was downgraded to a Heavy 10 retrospectively.
 
Upon arriving behind the barriers, Karaage reared, dislodged App. J Hodge and underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
Karaage – Began awkwardly.
 
Shining Blue – Began awkwardly. Unable to muster speed in the early stages and tailed the field for the majority of the event.
 
Following this race which was run in heavy rain, Stewards met with a delegation of senior riders following which Stewards were concerned with the continuing heavy rainfall and prevailing track conditions and therefore determined that the remainder of the meeting be abandoned.
