SUPPLIMENTARY REPORT-
As S Sweedman was injured and not riding at the meeting, rider replacements were made as per the Stewards Summary. Jockey Sweedman was advised he would require a medical clearance prior to next riding.
RACE 1: HAYES SPRAYING BENCHMARK 50 H’CAP 1000M-
MIRACLE STAR- Very slow to begin and lost considerable ground.
GLENBAWNS DUTCHESS- Made the home turn very wide.
CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR- On straightening was eased and lost ground when runners either side shifted ground.
RACE 2: B&W RURAL MAIDEN PLATE 1000M-
AQUIFER MIST- Slow to begin and then shifted out making contact with another runner.
PUMP ACTION- Bumped on jumping away.
QUEENOFMAINSTREET- Follow the race, the trainer reported that the tongue tie on the filly became undone during the event.
RACE 3: SCHOFIELDS QTIS BENCHMARK 60 HCAP 1200 M
SIR BAM- Began awkwardly making contact with another runner.
I’M FAVULOUS- Bumped on jumping.
STELLA’S DREAM- Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room near the 600m.
ACCUMULATED- Began awkwardly.
YES OUI SI- Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
READY TO GO GO- Held up for a short distance rounding the home turn, before shifted out sharply to secure clear running.
RACE 4: KENWAY & CLARK/BROWN & HURLEY GOONDIWINDI PICNIC CUP OPEN HCAP 1200M
FAB’S COWBOY- Slow to begin.
RACE 5: LANDMARK CLASS B HCAP 1400M
PATS GIRL- Shied when leaving the mounting yard and reared over dislodging App. B Mackie. As PATS GIRL appeared to be stunned by the fall, it was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4:10pm acting on Veterinary advice. Upon the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on PATS GIRL be refunded with the following deductions to apply-
1st- 31 cents the win 21cents the place
2nd-21 cents the place
3rd- 21 cents the place
BOLD CROSSING- Slow into stride.
MOTUEKA RIVER- Rider reported that the horse was uncomfortable on today’s racing surface and was reluctant to stretch out when placed under pressure.
