Race 1: TARZINO 2015 CLASS B H’CAP – 900m
 
HIS STERLING – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly over the concluding stages.
 
DORIS STAR – Slow to begin.
 
CINEMATOGRAPHY – Hung in leaving the 800m despite the efforts of its rider inconveniencing another runner. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BATTLE MOUNTAIN – Inconvenienced leaving the 800m by another runner which hung in. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: RED ANCHOR 1984 OPEN H’CAP – 900m
 
PROFUSIVE – Was examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the race and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Restrained off heels near the 850m.  
 
MOLONGLE CHIEF – Rider D. Edmonds was fined the sum of $100 under AR 184 in that he negligent in weighing out when including all of his gear. Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MOLONGLE FIRE – Delayed the start when unable to be loaded and was declared a late scratching at 2.26pm. On the announcement of correct weight, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.
7 cents in the dollar on the face value of both win and place bets. Trainer B. Williams advised stewards it would now be the intention that the gelding be retired from racing.
Nonetheless, Mr Williamson was advised that should the gelding return to racing it must past three (3) consecutive trials to the stewards satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again.
 
GINGERSNAP – Was fractious in the barriers prior to the start causing rider S. Gittos to bump his left knee on the barrier partition. S. Gittos declared himself free of injury and able to fulfil his engagement. Bumped by another runner near the 800m and forced wider.
 
OUR RECIPE – Bumped with another runner near the 800m.
 
KIRABO – Put in awkward stride near the 300m and lost momentum.         
 
Race 3: ELVSTROM 2003 BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1180M
 
ANNE CATHERINE – Trainer R. Tapiolas, was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of LR 67 (1) in that he failed to declare jockey P. Romeo as the rider of that horse by the prescribed time.
 
CINNABARBOW – Shifted out abruptly on jumping forcing another runner wider.
 
MOLONGEL MAGIC – Forced outwards on jumping tightening the runner to its outside.    
 
MARTIAL ARTS – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
MAKE AMENDS – Slow to begin.
 
HE’S TERRYFIED – When questioned in regards to its improved performance, trainer A. Cameron advised stewards the horse had not been suited at its most recent starts encountering hard surfaces and was of the opinion the softer track and a drop in grade were contributing factors to today’s performance. Stewards noted his explanation.    
 
Race 4: JUSTIN SCOTT MEMORIAL CLASS B H’CAP – 1460m
 
EDITH MARGARET – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Slow to begin.
 
DELUX EDITION – Slow to begin.
 
SKIFIELD – Slow to begin.
 
CEEBIZ KIT – raced wide in the middle stages. Commenced to lose ground leaving the 600m and hung out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
ALL ZED AND DONE – Dislodged rider on pulling up. Jockey D. Edmonds declared himself free of injury and able to fulfil further engagement.
 
VANDROSS – Trainer R. Finch advised stewards it was the gelding’s first start for the stable today and he was of the opinion that the step up in distance and drop in grade along with some gear changes were telling factors of today’s performance. Stewards noted his explanations.        
 
Race 5: COMIC COURT 1948 MAIDEN PLATE – 1460m
 
FLASH FOX – Incurred a small laceration to its mouth area whilst being floated to the course. Was examined by the veterinary surgeon and was cleared to start. Shifted outwards on jumping hampering another runner.  
 
FLAMING LAMBORGINI – Shifted its off hind plate during its preliminary, as the farrier was unable to replace the plate permission was granted for the horse to race bare behind. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight hampering another runner. Rider N. Nelson was severely reprimanded and advised to keep her mounts straight in similar circumstances.     
 
SHAKA DIAMOND – Blundered badly on jumping. Reluctant to stride out and trailed the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination was unable to find any significant abnormalities. Trainer O. Cairns gave an undertaking to advise stewards should anything come to her attention in the near future and was also advised she must provide a veterinary clearance of fitness prior to the horse being permitted to race again. 
 
BORROMEO – Hampered by another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of then race.
 
LEGAL LOOPHOLE – Hung out rounding the home turn. Hampered when tiring near the 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness over the hind-   quarter region. Trainer M. Jokic was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance of fitness prior the horse being permitted to race again.
 
SEAMAD – Raced wide in the middle stages.
