Race 1: HELLOWORLD Benchmark 55 Handicap 1460 metres

DJEBEL READY – Fractious in the barrier.

MIKEY’S TURF – Fractious in the barrier. Approaching the 1200 had to be restrained momentarily when crossed by another runner which was improving to its outside. Near the 1000m was inconvenienced by another runner which shifted out marginally. Jockey B Thomson reported that the mare had never travelled comfortably on the tight circuit. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

ANCIENT ECHOS – Slowly into stride after beginning awkwardly. Shifted out marginally near the 1000m inconveniencing another runner.

MOVING TARGET – Slowly into stride.

PURE REBEL – App E Cass reported that her saddle had shifted back near the 1300m resulting in the gelding losing momentum and becoming awkward in its action losing momentum and inconveniencing a runner following.

SPRINGTHORPE – Inconvenienced near the 1300m when following a runner which became awkward in its action after the saddle shifted back. Raced wide from the 600m.

BULLET LAD – Near the 1250m shifted in when not fully clear of a runner to its inside. Jockey G Kliese was advised to exercise more care under similar circumstances. Lost the near fore plate in the vicinity of the 1200m.

SWEET TASTE – The mare which was having its second start back after a lengthy spell tired in the home straight after assuming the lead near the 500m.

DON’T CHEAT CHARLIE – Jockey S Sheargold reported the gelding had never been comfortable on the tight circuit and his opinion would also be better suited over distances longer than that of today’s event.

Race 2: JETSETTER Open Plate 1180 metres

PERFECT KNOWLEDGE – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure down the running.

MASON’S CHANCE – Momentarily held up on straightening before shifting out to obtain clear running.

BUON NATALE – Jockey W D’Avila reported the gelding was inclined to lay in throughout.

ARTE ET MARTE – Raced wide for the majority.

MR TINDLE – Jockey S Sheargold reported that the gelding had never raced comfortably on the tight circuit.

Race 3: MY PETS Class B Plate 1180 metres

BUWAN – Underwent a veterinary inspection behind the barriers and was passed fit to start. Bumped with another runner on jumping. Shifted in marginally near the 800m inconveniencing a runner to its inside. Had to be restrained when awkwardly placed on the heels of another runner which became awkward near the 700m. Raced wide for the majority.

NALSSENDORI – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.

MYZABOOM – Fractious in the barrier. Was inconvenienced on jumping. Shifted ground under pressure in the home straight.

STAR SINGER – Slowly away. Inconvenienced soon after jumping.

RED RED ROSE – Slowly into stride after being inconvenienced on jumping.

TECHNICIAN – Slowly into stride after shifting out on jumping and inconveniencing several runners to its outside. Raced wide for the 400m.

Race 4: BUTTERFLY BLUE Maiden Plate 1000 metres

ENRAGED – Shifted out on jumping inconveniencing a runner to its outside.

FAINTLY MACABRE – Slowly away. Inconvenienced soon after jumping. Restrained near the 800m to avoid the heels of another runner which was racing ungenerously. Momentarily restrained off heels near the 200m.

SENOR PIG – Shifted in near the 800m when racing ungenerously inconveniencing another runner. Shifted out marginally under pressure near the 150 inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey B Thomson reported the gelding had never travelled comfortably on the tight circuit.

FIRST SLIP – Inconvenienced near the 150m by another runner which shifted out marginally. Raced wide for the majority.

BIKIE CHIC – After beginning awkwardly shifted out inconveniencing a runner to its outside.

ASHANI STORM – The mare which was having its first race start today was inconvenienced on jumping and commenced to lose ground soon after taking no real competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Russell was advised of a requirement to nominate the mare at non-TAB venues until competitive form is established.

Race 5: HOME HILL NEWS Benchmark 60 Handicap 900 metres

MOSCOW MISTRESS – Fractious in the barrier. Had to be restrained when hampered near the 850m by another runner which shifted in under riding.

OUR CHIQUILLA – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Shifted in under riding near the 850m hampering a runner to its inside. App E Cass was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding.

THE SWELL – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

AMMATE (NZ) – Shifted out soon after jumping under hard riding inconveniencing several runners to its outside. Jockey M Abe was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. Hung in passing the 100m.

OAKFIELD COSTA – Slowly away and was inconvenienced soon after jumping.

SUPPOSEDLY WICKED – Inconvenienced soon after jumping.

HIT SNOOZE – Began awkwardly and was inconvenienced soon after jumping.

TRUCULENT – Shifted in soon after jumping. Near the 600m again shifted in when being restrained off heels tightening a runner to its inside. App C Collis was advised to exercise more care under similar circumstances.
