Race 1: NEW SPORTS BAR COCKTAILS Maiden Handicap 1666 metres
 
HECTOR THE HERO – Began awkwardly. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROCAROYALE – Buffeted at the start between runners before restraining to a rearward trailing position. Inclined to over-race in the early stages.

OLYMPIC GIFT – Slow to begin. Rider elected to leave a rearward trailing position to improve three wide from the 1100 metres. Raced wide for the remainder. Rider B Pengelly reported the gelding raced lethargic throughout and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of OLYMPIC GIFT revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer E Ensby was advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start.
 
DEEP FINE LEG – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide in the early stages. Tired over the concluding stages. Trainer B Gray was advised a warning would be placed on DEEP FINE LEG for its poor performance.
 
VALIDAR – Rider reported the gelding was inclined to lay out from the 600 metres.
 
ATOMIC BOMB – Held up for clear running until approaching the home-turn.
 
NASHWAH – Raced three wide in the early stages before obtaining the position outside the leader near the 900 metres.
 
THINKLIKELIGHTNING – Laid out rounding the home-turn. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Baker was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding for its poor performance.
 
WANTED MISS – Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. Approaching the home-turn tightened for room between OLYMPIC GIFT which laid in under hard riding and ROCAROYALE which shifted out to improve.
 
Following the running of this event the track was up-graded to a Soft 5.
 
Race 2: SKY RACING QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1350 metres
 
LOVING MISS – Bumped at the start and lost ground. Shifted out under pressure near the 200 metres.
 
QUEEN DAZZLER – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped LOVING MISS.
 
BOLD PEDRO – Checked near the 200 metres. M McGillivray, rider of LOVING MISS, was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in that he permitted that runner to shift out at that point of the race.  
 
Race 3: BARN FAMILY RESTAURANT Class 4 Handicap 1350 metres
 
SMART AS ATTACK – Bumped on jumping.
 
PHIONAIX – Rider L Cassidy reported his mount raced very keenly in the early stages and proved difficult to settle.
 
INCORRUPTIBILITY – Began awkwardly.
 
PAT'S GIRL – Raced at the tail of the field and was uncompetitive throughout. Trainer F Hall was advised a warning would be placed on the performance of the mare.
 
Race 4: OAKS DAY PACKAGES AVAILABLE Class 3 Handicap 1666 metres
 
The start of this event was re-scheduled to 3:25pm due to storm activity and lightning strikes in the immediate vicinity of the race-course.
 
CITY SMART – Began awkwardly. Put in an awkward stride near the 200 metres.
 
SAYL – When asked to comment on the below market performance, rider L Dittman could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination of SAYL revealed no abnormalities.

DIVINE DIVA – Kicked by another runner on the near-side shoulder behind the barriers, underwent a Veterinary examination and cleared to start.
 
SO YOU BEAUTY – Shifted out under pressure over the final 100 metres.
 
 
Race 5: TAB VENUE MODE QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1100 metres
 
The starting time for this race was re-scheduled to 3:55pm as a result of the delay to amended start time of Race 4.
 
DOMINANT KING – Raced three wide without cover for majority of the event.
 
CROWN LAW – Obliged to steady shortly after the start when placed in restricted room. Checked and lost ground near the 1000 metres. Apprentice A Thompson, rider of FIGHTING MAD, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of CROWN LAW near the 1000 metres. The riding licence of apprentice Thompson was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 3rd November up to and including midnight 12th November 2020.
 
FIGHTING MAD – Raced three wide with cover for majority of the event.
 
 
Race 6: IEEC.COM.AU Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
 
INTIMIDATING – Following the event Apprentice A Thompson reported the gelding felt awkward in its action during the race. A post-race veterinary examination of INTIMIDATING revealed no abnormalities.
 
SPOT ON SPUD – As had not started for an extended period underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and cleared to start. Raced wide throughout. Laid out rounding home-turn and shifted wider despite the efforts of its rider.
 
EAST ESPLANADE – Held up for clear running until the early stages of the home straight.
 
 
Race 7: RIVER 94.9FM Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
 
TRACY MAY – crowded for room near the 900 metres.
 
HARD LABOUR – Checked near 900 metres and lost ground when tightened for room by TRACY MAY which was taken in by BUCKETS OF PRIDE. Apprentice J Huxtable, rider of BUCKETS OF PRIDE was found guilty of a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in that near the 900 metres he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount shifting in and crowding TRACY MAY which was taken inwards resulting in HARD LABOUR being tightened for racing room and had to be checked. The riding licence of J Huxtable was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 3rd November up to and including midnight 12th November 2020.
 
BUCKETS OF PRIDE – Approaching the winning post improved onto the heels of TRACY MAY and had to be steadied and was unable to be fully tested over the concluding stages.
 
LOPE FOR JOYA – Bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced near the 900 meters.
 
ADELASE – Steadied from heels near 800 metres.
 
ZOOFARI – Change of tactics, to be ridden further back in the field from the wide gate. After being restrained at the start unable to find cover and obliged to race three wide without cover throughout.
