Race 1: Beavis Bartels Families QTIS 3yo Class 2 Plate - 1060
 
Correct weight was delayed to allow connections of the second placegetter, BRILEE ROSE, to view the photo-finish print for first. Subsequently correct weight was semaphored the Judge’s placings.
 
ROSINCA – Slow to begin. Hung out rounding the first turn, forcing SHAKIRA wider. Raced wide from the 500m.
 
EVAMAC – Slow to begin.
 
SHAKIRA – Forced wider on the track rounding the first turn.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: Butler McDermott Lawyers Maiden Plate – 800m
 
TOY BOY BLING – Slow to begin.
 
SEVENTY BELOW – Slow to begin.
 
HEATHER JOAN – Slow to begin.
 
COONOWRIN SILKY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
SINGLE LASS – Blundered on jumping away.
 
LITTLE BIT LITTLE – Steadied when racing in restricted room near the 450m.
 
LUCKY’S LIL GIRL – Checked near the 450m.  Jockey R. Ride, rider of LICENCED TO WIN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that she allowed her mount to shift in at this stage, resulting in LUCKY’S LIL GIRL  clipping heels and blundering  Jockey Ride was suspended for a period of 8 days, to commence at midnight, 23 June and to expire at midnight 1 July.
 
AQUAGEM – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
 
Race 3: Golden Downs Brisbane Class 3 Plate – 1500m
 
HENRY’S ON COURSE – Tightened for room at the start.  Shifted in abruptly just after the winning post on the first occasion and became unbalanced.
 
CARTAGENA – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
AIRLIE REWARD – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
FINE EYES – Slow to begin. Raced wide from the 700m.
 
MR BON VIVANT – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
BEACH DRUM – Raced ungenerously when being restrained passing the winning post on the first occasion.  Raced wide from the 700m with cover.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: Jack Hughes Memorial Benchmark 58 H ‘ cap – 1900m
 
FLYNN EFFECT – Slow to begin.
 
CASINO GARDENS – Jumped away awkwardly, throwing its head in the air.  Apprentice T. Williams was reprimanded for failing to claim her full allowance.
 
KASTONOS – Jockey R. Ride was found guilty of  a charge of careless riding in that she allowed her mount to shift in near the 1700m when not sufficiently clear of KASTANOS, causing that horse to be tightened for room and resulting its rider have to  take hold of that gelding  and lose ground.  Jockey Ride was suspended for a period of 9 days,  to commence at midnight, 1 July  and to expire at midnight, 10 July.
 
MOSS GO NOW – Raced wide from the 600m.
 
MAXWELL – Had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn.
 
ROCKET ON BOARD –  Raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have  a slow post race recovery and was making a respiratory noise.  Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, must be provided to stewards prior to its next race start.
 
 
Race 5: Golden Downs Ultimate Enjoyment Class 2 H’cap – 1060m
 
THEATRIC – Trainer B. Currie was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time.  Overraced for a short distance passing the 800m.
 
PAT KASH – Slow to begin. Held up and shifted in abruptly to gain clear running near the 100m.
 
COURT RULES – Slow to begin.
 
KAIZARI – Slow to begin.  Raced wide throughout.
 
SCRIVANO – Overraced for a short distance passing the 800m.  Shifted in away from another runner near the 100m and made heavy contact with the running rail.
 
DANGEROUS BEHAVIOUR – Hung out from the 800m, taking no competitive part in the event. Rider S. Bogenhuber reported that her saddle had shifted during the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.   Trainer A. Williamson was advised that the horse would now be sent for a spell.  Connections were advised that the horse must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
 
HONOUR PROMISE – Raced wide without cover.  
 
PORN STAR PETE – Rider reported that the saddle shifted during the event.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 6: Keith Beavis Memorial Winter Prov. Sprinters (Heat) Kilcoy Cup BM75 H'cap – 1200m
 
ORLEANS – Jumped away awkwardly. A short distance later shifted in abruptly making contact with the inside running rail.
 
EL VENETIAN – Held up on entering the straight.
 
LOVE YA MRS – Raced wide without cover.
 
REWARD FOR FASHION – Raced wide.
 
 
Race 7: Golden Shores Hervey Bay Benchmark 55 H ‘cap – 1200m
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Began awkwardly, making contact with another runner.  Held up after passing the 150m and was steadied whilst weakening when placed in restricted room between runners  
 
COONOWRIN RUBY – Hampered at the start.
 
COURTING JOY – Hampered on jumping away.
 
RAINBOW SPIRIT – Inconvenienced on jumping away. Was disappointed for a run after passing the 700m and checked to avoid heels.
 
OVERGROWN – Approaching the 700m, after having to be steadied when momentarily tightened for room, shifted out to avoid heels, inconveniencing another runner.
 
REVELIO – Raced wide from the 600m.

LIMESTONE COWBOY – Checked when tightened for room near the 400m.  Stewards will inquire into this incident on a date to be fixed.
