GENERAL
 
All horses that competed in the last seven days underwent pre-race examinations and were passed fit to start.
 
Due to an impending storm, the races were brought forward to allow the completion of the meeting.
 
Race 1: DYNO NOBEL QTIS MDN PLT – 1000M
 
HARRINGTON – Bounded on jumping.
 
DREAM THE DAY AWAY – Jumped awkwardly
 
NEW SECRET – When questioned regarding performance, jockey K Aho stated that NEW SECRET resented the kickback and may not have appreciated the quick back up/.
 
PLENTY OF TICKER – Jumped awkwardly, shifting in abruptly. Rider C Collis dropped his whip at the 400m.
 
STRUMAN – Put its head down and then reared as the start was affected, missing the start considerably as a result. Trainer J Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on the record of STRUMAN.
 
Race 2: HOSES 24 BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000M
 
TYRANNIZE – Slow to begin.
 
BLAINE – Shifted in on jumping.
 
HARRY ROCKET – Raced wide throughout.
 
ZEBLAN – Shortly after jumping, raced in restricted room in between BLACK JAGUAR who shifted out and ISIS JECTALE which shifted in.
 
ISIS JECTALE – Raced wide throughout.
 
BLACK JAGUAR – Jumped awkwardly and hampered shortly after when BLAINE shifted in.
 
Race 3: QUARRICO CLASS B HANDICAP – 1170M
 
MYZABOOM – Jumped awkwardly.
 
DUTCH ROCKET – Permission was granted for DUTCH ROCKET to race with no hind plates after the mare threw a hind shoe and couldn’t be reshod. Dipped badly on jumping, dislodging jockey P Romeo. Jockey P Romeo was examined by the on course Ambulance professionals and cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.
 
Race 4: DOWDENS PLUMBING BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1170M
 
MR TINDALL – Taken wider approaching the 700m when ROCKETTE ROCKET shifted out and as a result was obliged to race wide from that point.
 
ROCKETTE ROCKET – Approaching the 700m, commenced to race greenly and shifted out taking MR TINDALL wider on the track.
 
Race 5: ISAAC REGIONAL COUNCIL & MINERS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1550M
 
VISAVIS – Trainer O Cairns reported that VISAVIS would now be leaving her stable.
