HAMMERTONE - As the gelding was returning from a prolonged absence from racing underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin

EXOTERICAL - As the mare was returning from a prolonged absence from racing underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide majority.

VANDROSS - Slow to begin. Rider advised gelding was reluctant to stretch out in the early and middle stages due to the kickback in running.

SIMPLE MELODY – Jockey J Esser, after gaining approval, rode the mare two and a half kilograms above the allocated weight. Resented kickback in running.
BOUNTIFUL - As the mare was returning from a prolonged absence from racing underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Fractious in the mounting yard .Trainer D Bannister advised a warning is being placed on the mare’s pre-race  behaviour. Slow to begin.
