Race 1 – MCLEAN PARTNERS/ ELDERS CT/ COLEMANS STOCKFEED QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
 
D’MAIN TRAIN - Shifted out on Jumping bumping another runner. Raced wide throughout.
 
MISTY MORNING - Bumped by another runner on jumping. Inclined to lay in during the early stages. Shifted in abruptly passing the 800m making contact with ANIMAL SPIRITS (B Thomson), in turn forcing that runner inwards onto the running of LUCKY BEE (P Cullen) which was forced to check and lost ground. Jockey D Edmonds was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) as a result of the incident. In considering penalty Stewards took into consideration the racing manners of the filly and Jockey Edmonds good record in relation to the rule.
 
Race 2 – PRAIRIE HOTEL/ SPAR/ RINGROSE & BUTTON/ BRODIES BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000m
 
MAKE HER OWN WHEY - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
EXCEPTIONAL RHYTHM - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
OUR RECIPE - Bounded in the air as the start was effected.
 
ARCHIE’S SON - Was declared a late scratching at 2:20pm when the Gelding refused to load.On the announcement of correct weight, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable.
 
16 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets.
18 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets.
 
Trainer J Manzelmann was advised the Gelding would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to again start in a race.
 
Race 3 – HUNTERS EARTHMOVING/ DR CATHY RETO/ WILSON RYAN GROSE/ HALLS FIREARMS Class B Handicap 1200m
 
 
ROCKETHEAD - Knuckled at the start.

ROCKET OF GOLD - Wide during the early and middle stages. On return to scale Jockey D Edmonds was found to be in excess of 0.5kg overweight and was subsequently fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR211.
 
Race 4 – REDDIE EARTHMOVING/ JNR RURAL ELECTRICAL/ FOODWORKS Ratings Band 0-50 Handicap 1400m
 
FLAMING LAMBORGINI - Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Compounded passing the 400m and finished tailed off.
 
TRY BEFORE DUBAI - Improved onto the heels of tiring runner passing the 400m having to be restrained and lost ground.
 
SOUND INVESTMENT- Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
Race 5 – LEWIS FIRE PROTECTION PRAIRIE CUP Benchmark 65 Handicap 1400m
 
SATURN OPS- Was fractious in the barrier prior to the start. Jockey P Cullen was severely reprimanded for his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
SCRIPTS - Jockey B Thomson was severely reprimanded for her use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
NOTORIETY- On return to scale Jockey N Nelson reported she was of the opinion the gelding resented the heavy dust kickback. Finished tailed off.
