Race 1: J.A.F. ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1050M

ALSAURUSFIRST was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 1:16 pm after dislodging its rider en route to the barriers and galloping a significant distance. On the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on ALSAURUSFIRST be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 1:16 pm

10 cents in the dollar for the win #5
15 cents in the dollar for place of winner #5
5 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #2
20 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #12

BUB’S GOLD – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Rider S. Lacy pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) of using the whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100m and was fined $200.

PETITE EDITION – Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

SAY PLEASE – Attempted to buck shortly after jumping away. Trainer Z. Hohn was advised that SAY PLEASE would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next start.

Race 2: NAB AGRIBUSINESS CLASS 3 PLATE – 1050M

SANTISIMO – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the vicinity of the 600m to inside the 100m.

MISS DE MIRAGE – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was obliged to shift out in the vicinity of the 400m, in doing so contacting FORGOTTEN FEELING.

FORGOTTEN FEELING – In the vicinity of the 400m was momentarily inconvenienced by MISS DE MIRAGE, which shifted out.

STREAMLINER – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 3: ELDERS FINANCIAL PLANNING CENTRAL QLD BENCHMARK 69 H'CAP 1400M

MISHNAH – Began awkwardly. Shifted in in the vicinity of the 1200m when insufficiently clear of SUCH A HUSSY. Rider R. Wiggins was reminded of his obligations to be clear when shifting ground in future.

SAN VINCENZO – Rider A. Butler pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) of using the whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100m and was fined $100. In determining penalty, stewards took into account jockey Butler’s excellent record regarding the whip rule.

CAVELLTON – Slow to begin.

RHYOLA – Raced three wide without cover until in the vicinity of the 600m where it was able to shift in and find cover.

SUCH A HUSSY – Trainer J. Lancaster was fined $200 for failing to prescribe A. Sewell as rider by the prescribed time. In the vicinity of the 1200m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of MISHNAH, which shifted in when insufficiently clear.

Race 4: TONY MADDEN ARCHITECTS PTY LTD BENCHMARK 55 H'CAP – 1600M

BLUE SEAL – Reared on jumping away.

FLAT TO STACK – Laid in under pressure in the straight.

ATTIQUE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being fractious in the barriers and was passed fit to start. Began awkwardly, shifted in and carried BARBERANCE in on to REPERCHARGE.

BARBERANCE – Hampered on jumping away.

DANE CHEVAL – Jumped away awkwardly.

SPECIAL THING – Laid in under pressure in the straight.

REPERCHARGE – Hampered on jumping away.

SOME IT IS – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and as a result was slow to begin.

Jockey L. Tilley was examined by ambulance officers following the running of Race 4 and was passed fit to fulfil his remaining engagements.

Race 5: GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND CLASS 6 PLATE – 1100M

MALKARA – Laid in under pressure in the straight.

TAPA – Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event.

THE REAL BOSS – Laid in under pressure in the straight.

ANNIE’S OUR HERO – Slow to begin. A warning was placed on the horse due to its barrier manners.

Race 6: RJC AWARDS NIGHT/SPRING RACING LAUNCH – SATURDAY 28 SEPTEMBER QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1100M

Stewards acceded to the request for the late withdrawal of GOLDEN TREASURE at 8:23 am after miscommunication between Racing Australia and trainer T. Cook and as such no penalty was imposed.

CRIME BOSS – Jumped away awkwardly.

THE STOCKBROKER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

BOSS BABY – In the vicinity of the 800m was obliged to steady after improving on to the heels of CRIME BOSS.

FLAME PRINCESS – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. In the vicinity of the 800m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of BOSS BABY. Rider R. Stewart pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) of using the whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m and was reprimanded. In determining penalty, stewards took into account jockey Stewart’s excellent record regarding the whip rule.

LADY CECILIA – Jumped away awkwardly.

MONASHEE ANGLE – In the vicinity of the 800m made contact with the running rail and became awkward in its stride.

Race 7: XXXX GOLD SPRING CARNIVAL CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1200M

HIGHFALUTIN GAL – Hampered on jumping. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight and was obliged to shift wider to improve into clear running. Rider J. Orman pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) of using the whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m and was reprimanded.

WHOOSH – Severely hampered on jumping away. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

METALLURGIST – Jumped away awkwardly, carrying WHOOSH out on to HIGHFALUTIN GAL.

MAN OF ENVY – Hampered on jumping away.

POETIC REALITY – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in carrying MAN OF ENVY in on to HIGHFALUTIN GAL.

ALL ELLIE – Shifted out in the vicinity of the 200m, carrying TALK’EMAROUND out on to WHOOSH, which was carried out on to TOP EVIE, which was momentarily inconvenienced.

TOP EVIE – Momentarily inconvenienced by WHOOSH in the vicinity of the 200m after ALL ELLIE shifted out, carrying TALK’EMAROUND out on to that runner. S. Lacy, the rider of ALL ELLIE, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for allowing her mount to shift out.
