Race 1: Happy Birthday Leanne Newton Maiden H’cap – 1400m
 
MEAT BALL -  Slow into stride. In the vicinity of the 300m shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider, carrying NOBLE THOUGHT in onto HUGS ‘N’ KISSES. A post race veterinary examination of MEAT BALL failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
BRITZEL – Slow to begin.
 
HUGS ‘N’ KISSES – Overraced in the early and middle stages. In the vicinity of the 300m was obliged to steady after being contacted by NOBLE THOUGHT, which was carried in by MEAT BALL.
 
TALES OF EPSILON – Held up for clear running from the 400m to approaching the 300m.
 
NOBLE THOUGHT – Laid in under pressure in the straight. In the vicinity of the 300m was inconvenienced and carried in on to HUGS ‘N’ KISSES by MEATBALL.  A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the off foreleg.
 
Following this race the track rating was upgraded to Good 3.
 
 
Race 2: LJ Hooker Rockhampton QTIS 3yo Class 2 H’cap – 1300m
 
TYCOON FLYER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.  In the vicinity of the 1100m was obliged to steady off the heels of DJEBEL READY.
 
BANTU BAY – Slow to begin. Approaching the 50m, whilst being corrected, shifted out abruptly.
 
DJEBEL READY – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
THE STOCKBROKER – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
SUMMER SALT – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the filly, jockey L. Tilley stated that, in his opinion, SUMMER SALT failed to handle the firm track conditions.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer C. Taylor  advised that the filly got its tongue out of the tongue-tie during the race.
 
 
Race 3: Ace Party And  Wedding Hire Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1300m
 
SHELTER LADY – Slow to begin.
 
BOINGO – Was slow to begin. In  the vicinity of the 1000m shifted inwards when insufficiently clear of PAUA, and continued to shift in when insufficiently clear of QUIDNI.  Apprentice jockey E. Bell was severely reprimanded.  Jockey E. Bell was reprimanded for using her whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
PAUA – In the vicinity of the 1000m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of BOINGO, which shifted in when insufficiently clear.
 
QUIDNI – In the vicinity of the 1000m was obliged to steady  to avoid the heels of BOINGO, which shifted in when insufficiently clear.
 
TESTA BOOM – Held up for clear running in the vicinity of the 600m to approaching the 400m and had to be shifted wider on the track to improve into clear running.  Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
RED HEAVY – Laid in throughout the event.
 
 
Race 4: St Peter’s Caulfield Cup Sat 19 October Plate – 1050m
 
STAR VOYAGER – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not starting in the past 12 months and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin.
 
GLOBAL FUGITIVE – Slow to begin.
 
GLOBAL FUGITIVE – Slow to begin. In the vicinity of the 400m shifted out in an attempt to improve.
 
FRENCH STICK – In the vicinity of the 400m was obliged to check to avoid the heels of GOBAL FUGITIVE, which shifted out when insufficiently clear.  Apprentice jockey M. Murphy, rider of GLOBAL FUGITIVE, pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a), careless riding, for shifting ground when insufficiently clear.  Apprentice Murphy was suspended from riding in races for a period of 8 days, to commence at midnight, 17 October and to expire at midnight 25 October.
 
CHLOE KINKY TOES – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
ADVANCED COMMAND – Jockey R. Oakford could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the gelding other than being first up after a spell. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
 
 
Race 5: Get Your Pimms Party At The Park Tickets Now? Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1500m
 
FLAT TO STACK – Laid in in in the early stages.
 
QUESTIONS ANSWERED – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
BLUE SEAL – Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully tested to the line.
 
SELECT ROYAL – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
AHMAH STAR – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
 
 
 
Race 6: The Rock Bar And Restaurant Fashions On The Field Benchmark 69 H’cap – 1050m
 
FREE DROP – Reared as the start was effected and as a result was slow to begin.
 
SLICK MOVER – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
PEARL’S LAD – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 7: TAB Class 1 H’cap – 1100m
 
ELEGANT ZOUS – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
JACK ON THE ROCKS – Overaced in the early stages. In the vicinity of the 100m was obliged to steady after shifting out, becoming awkward on the heels of EMMY’S OUR GIRL.
 
BESTERS – Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
 
EMMY’S OUR GIRL – Rider R. Oakford reported that his mount weakened significantly over the concluding stages.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

General
 
When questioned regarding the late arrival on course of Krupt As ‘Er and  and Global Fugitive, trainer Ms Z. Hohn stated she had transport difficulties travelling to the course and was unable to make contact with the stewards but made herself aware to officials on arrival at the course. Stewards advised Miss Hohn that in future she should make greater endeavours to contact either the club or stewards if future if her arrival on course is to be delayed. Both Krupt As ‘Er and  and Global Fugitive were swabbed.
