Race 1: CQ Solar & Electrical 2yo H’cap – 1100m
 
EVIE’S LASS – Slow to begin.  Rider M. Gray was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish line.
 
OLLIE’S STAND – Slow to begin.
 
I FEEL REAL – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
IMALI – Raced wide without cover throughout, and hung out under pressure rounding the home turn.
 
POINTO’S PICK – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 2: Zoe Hohn Racing Benchmark 69 – 1200m
 
JAY JAY - Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
FRUGAL – Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer R. Vale advised FRUGAL would now be sent for a spell. Jockey R. Wiggins, who was kicked on return to scale, was examined by the on-course paramedics and passed fit to fulfil remaining engagements.
 
GENGERSNAP – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
FREE DROP – Slow to begin.
 
HIDDEN GODDESS – Overraced in the early stages.  When questioned regarding the performance of HIDDEN GODDESS, jockey L. Tilley stated that on entering the home straight he attempted to improve into a tight run between FRUGAL and SWEET SURPRISE, however his mount was reluctant to improve into that gap. In the vicinity of the 300m attempted to shift to the outside of SWEET SURPRISE, but after shifting out was again held up and was obliged to shift back to the inside of SWEET SURPRISE in an attempt to improve. He added that he raced in restricted room for the remainder of the event and was unable to fully test his mount in the run to the finish. Stewards noted his explanation.

Race 3: Dacxi Racing 1 QTIS 3yo H’cap – 1200m
 
THREE STRIPES – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
ROCKY POET – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
BLACK SAGA – Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
 
TEDDER EXPRESS – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 4: Dacxi Lodge Benchmark 60 H’cap – 1300m
 
SWINGAHINCH – Reared on jumping away.
 
TALK’EMAROUND – Slow to begin.
 
DOUBLE EM – Jumped away awkwardly. Was momentarily held up for clear running in the vicinity of the 400m.
 
SHENRON – Reared on jumping away. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
SLICK MOVER – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
TALES OF EPSILON – Held up for clear running from the vicinity of the 500m to approaching the 150m and was obliged to shift wider on the track to improve into clear running.
 
MAGIC SCENE – Raced wide without cover throughout the event. 
 
 
Race 5: Jimmy Cassidy Appreciation Class 3 H’cap – 1600m
 
MAN OF ENVY – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MEATBALL – In the vicinity of the 1100m had to be steadied after improving onto the heels of GLOBAL ROCKET.  When questioned regarding MEATBALL settling at the rear of the field in today’s event, jockey A. Sewell stated after being slow to begin was mindful that MEATBALL had a tendency to overrace in its previous races and elected to attempt to settle his mount into the race. He added MEATBALL raced keenly in the middle stages but finished the event off in a positive manner. He further added, in his opinion, MEATBALL would be better suited racing over shorter distances.
 
SATURN OPS – Was held up for clear running from the vicinity of the 500m to approaching the 400m and became momentarily inconvenienced inside the 400m after improving onto the heels of DRUMEOUS.
 
SOUND INVESTMENT – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
 
Race 6: Donquinn Downs Stud Yeppoon Open – 1400m
 
CHANDON KISSES – Change of tactics. Trainer O. Cairns advised she would instruct jockey M. Haley to attempt to lead in today’s event.  Subsequently led during the event. Underwent a post race veterinary examination, after weakening noticeably over the concluding stages, which found no significant abnormalities.
 
CALYPSO BAY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance of the CALYPSO BAY, apprentice E. Bell stated that her mount failed to respond to her riding throughout the event and went to the line in a disappointing manner.  Trainer J. Manzelmann advised that, in his opinion, CALYPSO BAY  had come to the end of its preparation and now would be spelled. A post race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no abnormalities.
 
MASON’S CHANCE – Hampered on jumping away. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
STONE WARRIOR – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
MUSTARRID – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight.
 
MACHO TYCOON – Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
 
Race 7: Manuplex Maiden H’cap – 1050m
 
SKILLED EDITION – Hampered on jumping away.
 
MOUNT DUMARESQ – Hampered on jumping away.
 
VO RIVER GIRL – Slow to begin.
 
JET CITY – Slow to begin.
 
GISELLE – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
 
KING KAI – Hampered on jumping away. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
SUMMER LEA – Laid in under pressure in the straight. In the vicinity of the 300m, shifted in, contacting TRUMP ME. Shortly thereafter was hampered by TRUMP ME, which shifted out.
 
TRUMP ME – In the vicinity of the 300m was momentarily inconvenienced by SUMMER LEA, which rolled in.  Shortly after approaching the 200m, attempted to shift out across the heels of UPPER DELIGHT and in doing so made contact with the hind quarters of SUMMER LEA and as a result was carried in, making contact with the heels of UPPER DELIGHT, blundering severely, almost dislodging its rider, causing jockey A. Sewell to lose both irons, and then went to the line without being tested.
 
 
Race 8: CQSE Led Lighting Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1050m
 
DIAMOND DIVA – Slow to begin.
 
SHE’S ON POINT – Reared on jumping away. Hung out rounding the home turn. Momentarily inconvenienced in the vicinity of the 600m by BAGGER MUSCLES which shifted in. Jockey M. Gray pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(b), in that he failed to ride his mount out with sufficient vigour from the vicinity of the 100m until inside the 25 metres, and was fined the sum of $400m.
 
FALVERA – Reared on jumping away.
 
BAGGER MUSCLES – Overraced throughout the event, and in the vicinity of the 600m shifted in, momentarily tightening SHE’S ON POINT.  Jockey M. Haley was reminded of his obligations to be clear when shifting ground in future.
 
TIME FOR LILLI – Reared on jumping away.
 
STORMINA – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in abruptly.
