Race 1: COCA COLA MAIDEN PLATE - 1200M
 
ILOVETHISGIRL – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Jockey S. Lacy reported that the mare was reluctant to stretch out in the kickback. Raced wide throughout.
 
FURY OF THE STORM – Knuckled badly on jumping. On retuning to scale apprentice H. English reported that it was her intention to settle in a more forward position however after knuckling at the start she was forced to settle further back than anticipated. App. English went on to say that the gelding travelled only fairly throughout the event, however when able to get to the outside of runners in the home straight the gelding made in her opinion strong late ground.
 
BRITZEL – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout. Steadied to avoid heels near the 150m.
 
EVRYNOW’N’THEN – Raced wide throughout.
 
RAISE THE FIGHT- Hung in throughout and proved somewhat difficult to ride out in the home straight.
 
HARAMAIN – Apprentice M. Wishart was reprimanded for using her whip more than 5 times  prior to the 100m.
 
PIRELLI – Checked when improving onto heels near the 600m.
 
 
Race 2: SAVANNA ENERGY BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP– 1200M
 
ARCTIC CIRCLE – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced very wide throughout.
 
MY COUSIN BOSSY – Steadied from heels near the 1000m.
 
CHIEF ADVOCATE – Shortly after the start checked when racing in restricted room.
 
BLUES YOUR BALL – After being checked approaching the 1000m,  shifted out by its rider and raced very wide until a point near the 500m. Had to be checked and lost ground approaching the 1000m when tightened for room by GOLOVKIN. Jockey T. Treichel, the rider of GOLOVKIN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in near the 1000m when insufficiently clear of BLUES YOUR BALL resulting in that runner and THE CONSIGLIERE being tightened for room and BLUES YOUR BALL checking and losing ground. Jockey T. Treichel’s license to ride in races was suspended for 7 days, commencing midnight Saturday 16November 2019 and expiring midnight  Saturday 23 November 2019. In determining penalty, stewards took into account Jockey Treichel’s exemplary good record.
 
CASH STRAPPED – Raced wide early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 3: HALL CHADWICK QTIS MAIDEN HANDICAP – 900M
 
Start of this race was delayed due to a barrier malfunction.
 
PLENTY OF WHITT – Began awkwardly.
 
STRAWBERRY DELUXE – Tightened for room on jumping and lost considerable ground.
 
DISCO DOUGIE - Tightened for room on jumping and lost considerable ground.
 
CHEESIE – Raced very greenly throughout.
 
POGO – Stood flat footed and lost ground.
 
I AM TEFLON – Lost a near hind plate in running. Post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame on the near hind hoof. Trainer R. Kerwin was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing again.
 

Race 4: DRACARYS CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1000M
 
INVINCIBLE KING – After making contact with enclosure fence on return to scale underwent a veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings.
 
FOXY BELLA – When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance trainer W. Baker advised that the mare had good form prior to its last two starts at which point the horse was spelled. He added that since being spelled has worked well and expected an improved performance.
 
LUCKY DEALEN – Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
AKLAVIK - Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
GAMBLER’S SON – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start.
 
INVINCIBLE KING – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
FOXY BELLA – Knuckled at the start.
 
 
Race 5: MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 H’CAP– 1200M
 
BESTERS – Jockey L. Tilley advised that he was instructed by connections to use minimal whip on the gelding.
 
COROGLEN – Knuckled badly at the start and lost considerable ground.
 
TSANI TOPAZ – Hampered at the start. When questioned in relation to the performance Jockey N. Evans advised that the mare resented the kickback and hung out in the middle stages.
 
TARWYN BLUE – Slow to begin.
 
PRIOR ENGAGEMENT – Had to be steadied rounding the home turn.
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Held up rounding the home turn and then laid in under pressure over the final 100m.
 
RULER’S PRIDE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RED MONKEY – Slow to begin.
 
YOKAI – Raced wide in the early stages when racing keenly.
 
AURIC GOLD – Held up for clear running for a majority of the home straight and as a result went to the line without being fully tested.
 
Race 6: TAB BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP - 1640M
 
GUD ONYA – Knuckled at the start. Raced very wide from the 800m.
 
MISHANI CENTURION – Tightened for room shortly after the start. Near the 350m was checked when SUPERVISOR was forced to shift out to avoid the heels of LAKESIDE OVAL when it commenced to weaken.
 
LONG STORY SHORT  - Knuckled at the start. Tightened for room shortly after the start, had to be checked and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout. Had to be steadied from heels near the 350m.
 
RUSTY SCOOTER - Tightened for room shortly after the start, had to be checked and lost ground. Hung out round the turn near the 1200m.
 
SPUR WITH EASE – Steadied to avoid heels shortly after the start.
 
THE POTATO PONTIFF – Held up for a short distance near the 350m.
 
SHE LIKES A DRINK – Forced wider by another runner near the 1200m.
 

Race 7: IRON JACK OPEN HANDICAP – 1000M
 
The start of this race delayed when THE MECHANIC became fractious and reared in the barriers. Subsequently underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared fit to race.
 
CLASSIC WIND – Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground.
 
SMOOTH HUSTLER – Held up and unable to improve from the 200m until inside the 100m.
 
THE MECHANIC – Reluctant to improve between runners when attempting a narrow run near the 150m.
 
MALIBU AFFAIR – Made the home turn wide.
 
BLUE JEST – Tightened for room shortly after the start losing ground.
 
TISANI TOMSO – Checked from heels near the 500m when racing keen. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 8: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/ROYAL ON 99 ROMA CUP OPEN H’CAP– 1640M
 
CAPE WICKHAM – Hung out in the middle stages.
 
HANG – Knuckled at the start.
 
PALACE TYCOON – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
ESCHIELE – Laid in, in the home straight.
