Jockey Stewart indicated he felt there was not a great deal of speed in todays event and anticipated settling behind the anticipated leader OMNIA MARKA TAYADA, however OWN SWEET WAY began only fairly and he was obliged to ride the horse vigorously to attempt to obtain this position. As a result OWN SWEET WAY commenced to overrace and he elected to allow the horse to stride forward to the lead near the 1400m.  Trainer N. McCall indicated she had not instructed jockey Stewart to lead necessarily, however as the horse, for a previous trainer, had been ridden in a more forward position, she instructed jockey Stewart to ride accordingly.
