Trainer B. Gorman was fined $100 for failing to declare a rider for Back Chat by the prescribed time.

Race 1 – Access Insulation Sunshine Coast Maiden Plate – 1000m
 
BETTER THAN MAGIC – Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start at the request of its rider and was cleared to take its place in the field.   A post race veterinary examination revealed swelling in the near-side knee and was lame in the off foreleg.  Trainer T. Bourke was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start. Raced wide.
 
SWISS RUBY – Became fractious in the tie-up stalls and shifted a tooth.  The filly was examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Raced 4 wide without cover.
 
 
HERITAGE SASH – Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition.
 
GO DEEP – Began awkwardly, making contact with another runner.
 
THREEPOINT MISSILE – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Commenced to overrace after passing  the 600m and improved onto heels and became awkward approaching the 500m.
 
VON ROSEN – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
 
Race 2 – Wimmers Premium Soft Drinks Open H’cap – 1000m
 
PUPPET MASTER -  Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition.
 
MISERY - Jumped away awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition. Jockey T. Brooker was fined $100 for using her whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
GUARD OF HONOUR – Held up rounding the home turn and until the 200m, and then after obtaining clear running was inclined to lay in under pressure.

 
Race 3 – TAB QTIS 2yo H’cap – 1000m
 
LOCAL GOSSIP – Slow to begin.
 
ENTERPRISE ASVA – Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition and lost ground. Was obliged to steady from the heels of another runner near the 500m.
 
CHEESE BURGER – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.  Jockey M. Du Plessis , rider of TOP SOCIETY, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that he allowed his mount to shift in to a point 3 wide when not sufficiently clear of GINGER ROCK, which was taken in on to the rightful running of CHEESE BURGER, which was forced on to the hind quarters of QIJI BELLEZZA, resulting in CHEESE BURGER having to be checked after leaving the 800m.  Jockey Du Plessis was suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days, to commence at midnight, 25 July and to expire at midnight, 4 August. Bumped heavily by another runner approaching the 500m and shifted wider on the track.
 
QIJI BELLEZZA – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Jockey T. Brooker, rider of GINGER ROCK, pleaded  guilty of a charge of careless riding, in that she allowed her mount to shift inside the one-wide line, resulting in a tightening to QIJI BELLEZZA, causing its rider to check the filly near the 500m. Jockey Brooker was suspended from riding in races for a period of  9 days, to commence at midnight, 21 July and to expire at midnight, 30 July.
 
GOLLY HUTT – Shifted out under pressure near the 300m, inconveniencing another runner.
 
BETAIMA – Bumped on  a number of occasions by another runner between the 600m and 400m.
 
KAORU KING – Bumped another runner on a number of occasions passing the 600m and before the 400m. Connections advised that the horse would now be sent for a spell.
 
GINGER ROCK –  Inconvenienced by another runner after passing the 300m.  Jockey T. Brooker was fined $300 for returning to scale overweight.
 
BOOMSTRESS – Race wide without cover. Rider M. Hellyer reported his mount hung in.  Connections advised that the horse would now be sent for a spell. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.  
 
TOP SOCIETY – Jockey M. Du Plessis reported his mount hung out throughout the race.
 
ARNWOOD – Apprentice H. English reported her mount hung out and  raced wide throughout.
 

Race 4 – Butler McDermott Lawyers Benchmark 70 H’cap  - 1600m
 
BRONZED VENOM – Jumped away very awkwardly and made heavy contact with another runner and lost ground.
 
COURAGEOUS ROCK – Bumped heavily by another runner on jumping away.
 
LADY NO MORE – Slow to begin.
 
FAST ARROW – Slow to begin.
 
VENI VIDI VICI – When held up rounding the home turn shifted out passing the 400m in an attempt to secure clear running and made contact with another runner, and continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 300m.
 
GREAT POWERS – Bumped with another runner near the 400m.
 
 
Race 5 – XXXX Gold Maiden H’cap  - 1800m
 
BEANS ‘N’ RICE – After a trackwork incident that  occurred on Tuesday, 16 July, which was reported  to stewards, a veterinary examination was carried out on the horse prior to racing and was cleared to take its place in the field.
 
CALISTO – As Jockey L. Tilley was to be overweight, jockey N. Thomas was substituted as the rider of the horse. Jockey Tilley was fined $200.
 
WHAKAREWAREWA – Slow to begin.   Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
ENCHANTED REIGN  - Slow to begin. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
CLASSIC PEARL – Shifted out at the 600m to improve and made contact with another runner, forcing that horse wider. Lost its off fore plate in running.
 
ROUND OF APPLAUSE - Overraced whilst being restrained to obtain cover in the early stages.
 
SUCCEEDANDCONQUER – Bumped by another runner near the 600m and forced wider.
 
ZEDGE – A post race veterinary examination after having raced wide in the early stages, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.  
 
SAVVY ACQUISITION – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6 – Yalumba Wines Class 3 H’cap  - 1000m
 
ADORADANCER – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
BACHELOR’S ART – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
INKBLOT – Raced wide.
 
FLIP DE GLOIRE – Raced wide without cover.
 
CRYSTAL AMOUR – Jockey J. Murphy was reprimanded for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
 
Race 7 – Oaks Hotels Resorts & Suites QTIS 3yo Benchmark 70 H’cap – 1400m
 
ERRINGHI SPRING – Jockey D. Smith was fined $100 for being overweight.  M. Hellyer was substituted as the rider of the horse. Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
MAGIC WU – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
 
BROOKER AVENUE – Slow to begin.
 
ADVANCE WARNING – Jumped away awkwardly, causing its rider to become unbalanced.  Held up rounding the home turn and continued to have difficulty obtaining clear running until approaching the 200m. Again obliged to alter course near the 100m to secure clear running.
 
HAALAN – Jockey J. Byrne was asked to comment on the performance. He indicated that the gelding was inclined to race  fiercely in the early stages, however after settling the horse it did not respond to his riding and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
SAY I CEE YOU – Overraced in the middle stages.  Obliged to steady near the 200m when placed in restricted room.
 
SOARING HEAT – Whilst weakening in the home straight shifted out under pressure, causing its rider to stop riding near the 200m and straighten.
 
Race 8 – Parklands Tavern Benchmark 65 H’cap – 1200m
 
TREASURE GALLERY – Slow to begin.
 
YEAHNAH – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Had difficulty securing clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
BOILING – Slow to begin. Overraced when being restrained in the early stages.
 
CHARWAY – Jumped away awkwardly,  made contact with another runner and lost ground.
 
ROUND MOUNTAIN GEM – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Raced wide without cover.
 
FULL NELSON – Approaching the 1100m was placed in restricted room and had to be steadied. Following this incident commenced to overrace, was checked from heels near the 900m and continued to  overrace until near the 600m.   
 
PINCH MEMORY – Approaching the 1100 was placed in restricted room and had to be steadied. Leaving the 200m, whilst weakening, was placed in restricted room and had to be steadied.
 
ELLA DIVINE – Had difficulty securing clear running from the 400m until approaching the 200m.
