SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

SCTC 27th May 2020 Race 8 – Tab Class 1 1800m

Stewards today concluded an inquiry into the reason for BEL STRIDER, ridden by Matthew McGillivray, clipping heels and falling near the 150 metres of this event.

After taking evidence from riders in the event the matter was adjourned to allow rider Matthew McGillivray to give evidence.

After considering all evidence, Stewards were satisfied that passing the 300 metres BEL STRIDER had attempted to improve to the inside of PRUNDA and was disappointed for run. As a result BEL STRIDER was to directed to the outside of that runner, however PRUNDA commenced to shift out and as a result BEL STRIDER, which was improving quickly, became awkwardly placed at the heels of that runner. J Marshall, rider of PRUNDA, attempted to straighten his mount at that point near the 150 metres, however BEL STRIDER clipped the heels of PRUNDA, blundered and fell.

After considering all evidence Stewards could not attribute blame to any rider and took no further action.
