Race 1 - ST GEORGE & DIRRANBANDI COTTON GROWERS PRECISION AERIAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400m
Pat’s Girl – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Apprentice S. Wilcock reported that after beginning well and finding a position up on the pace, she was unable to get obtain a wider position as instructed and as a result in her opinion the mare failed to handle the track conditions of today’s event. Stewards noted Apprentice Wilcock’s explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
Husson’s Shout – Raced five wide without cover over the concluding stages.
Foxleigh – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
Spur With Ease - Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 2 - ST GEORGE MACHINERY CENTRE BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1150m
Brown Brown – Raced wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
Mountain Retreat – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
Race 3 - JOHN WALMSLEY MEMORIAL O'BRIEN TOYOTA/RAY WHITE RURAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
Keodor – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
Yazzi Jean – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside. Tightened for room between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
Invincible King – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Sheqer Croi – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
Race 4 - CUBBIE AG FLYER OPEN HANDICAP – 1000m
Hard Stride – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
Reverse Logic – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Hung out rounding the home turn.
Race 5 - QUEENSLAND COTTON ST GEORGE CUP/RACE TO ROMA QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP – 1600m
Arctic Circle – Trainer B. Waldron was fined $100 under AR 65 for failing to produce his horse’s thoroughbred identification card.
Namib – Slow to begin.
