GENERAL:
The following horses were scratched due to no riders being available:
Race 2: MIGHTY MOOSE (late scratching at 12:48)
Race 3: POSITIVE SPIN
Race 5: DANGEROUS DANICA, ANNIHILATION and PASS OF GOLD (late scratching at 12:48)
Race 1: COUNTRY CLUB HOTEL/LIQUOR LEGENDS CLASS B H’CAP - 1200M
NONCHALANTE – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously early and middle stages.
MISSY ATTITUDE – Raced ungenerously early and middle stages. Made the home turn wide.
YOUL BEATEM – Raced wide without cover in the middle stages. Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.
Jockey R. Mangan (SHE’S WILD) was reprimanded for use of whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m. Stewards took into account her good record in relation to this rule.
Apprentice N. Fazackerley (MIGHTY ROLLER) was fined $300 for returning to scale overweight.
Race 2: STANTHORPE RSL/M J CLEANERS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
BEHIND THE THISTLE – Began awkwardly, shifted out making heavy contact with another runner. Shortly after the start commenced to buck dislodging its rider. V. Johnston was examined by QAS and was subsequently stood down and taken to hospital for further observation. V. Johnston was advised that she would be required to provide a medical clearance and sit an after injury concussion test prior to riding again. Rider replacements for the remainder of the day as per Stewards Race Day Summary. Trainer L. Clarke was advised that the a barrier certificate would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
PRIMMISCUOUS – Slow to begin and tightened for room shortly after. Inconvenienced near the 900m. Raced in restricted room near the 800m.
RAIL ROAD EXPRESS – Tightened for room at the start. Bumped heavily by another runner shortly after the start and as a result shifted out abruptly and raced wider on the track. Leaving the 800m was forced wider on the track when inconvenienced by another runner.
IBERIAN LACE – Inconvenienced leaving 800m, and forced wider by another runner. Rider R. Mangan reported that her saddle shifted near the 700m.
KAZ BAR RUBY - Inconvenienced leaving 800m, and forced wider by DUNAMIS which shifted out on its own accord despite the efforts of its rider.
SUPERVISOR – Began awkwardly and made contact with another runner. Raced in restricted room near the 800m when DUNAMIS shifted in abruptly, despite the efforts of its rider.
DUNAMIS - Raced ungenerously throughout, inconveniencing multiple runners on various occasions. Trainer C. Allardyce was advised that a barrier certificate would be required prior to the gelding racing again.
Race 3: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY CREDIT UNION QTIS BM 55 H’CAP – 1000M
MISHANI SHIRAZ – Injured en route to the course, declared a late scratching at 12:48 on vets advice. Stable representative was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to the mare racing again.
TELLOFF – Slow to begin.
TORQUATO TASSO – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
DUBLE MEANING – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
HIDDEN SEQUEL – Raced wide throughout.
LA RANA TORO – Bumped by another runner at the start. Raced in restricted room near the 600m and had to be steadied. Apprentice N. Fazackerley was advised to exercise more care.
AS A HAWK – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner.
Race 4: K & A BUILDING COUNTRY CUPS CHALL QUAL/STANTHORPE CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1400M
CALYPSO BAY – Shifted in under pressure early stages of the home straight.
CANNY EXCEL – Raced wide throughout.
WELL SIGHTED – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
Race 5: CRISPS COACHES/STANTHORPE BORDER POST BM 55 H’CAP – 1400M
MOLLY MIYAKO - Injured en route to the course, declared a late scratching at 2:36 on vets advice. Stable representative was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to the mare racing again.
NOREENA – Raced on heels and had to steady near the 600m.
RAHDANE – Held up and unable to secure clear running in the home straight.
KASTANOS – Raced wide throughout.
IBELIEVEICANFLY – Raced wide throughout.
