Race 1: MJ CLEANERS / STANTHORPE RSL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200m
BACKUP BILLY – Assessed by the veterinarian prior to the start and was found to be lame in the off fore leg. Stewards declared BACKUP BILLY a late scratching at 1:27pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in BACKUP BILLY be refunded with the following deductions to apply:  
10 cents in the dollar for the win - #4
  7 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #4
11 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #2
14 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #6
Trainer J. Byrne was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to race.
BLAINE – Began awkwardly.
RED MONKEY – Slow to begin.
CHASINGWAGTAILS – Stood flat footed and lost ground. Hung out rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
JACKO’S A NATURAL – Raced wide without cover throughout. Raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages.
Race 2: QUEENSLAND COUNTRY CREDIT UNION MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m  
KRUSTALLOS – Began awkwardly.
PULLA SWIFTY – Broke through the barriers prior to the start and was subsequently pulled up by its rider shortly after. Upon returning to the barriers underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide throughout the early and middle stages.
SILVER STILETTO – Raced wide without cover throughout.
AUSBRED DREAM – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 3: ENSBEY ELECTRICAL QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000m
The start time of this race was amended to 2:35pm
TIN’S POCKET – Held up for clear running upon entering the home straight. Restrained from heels for a short distance approaching the 150m.
CHOCOLATE OREO – Began awkwardly.
CLASSIC BEAU – Fractious in barriers. Apprentice J. Morrow was fined $200 under AR.211 (a) for returning to scale overweight.
JAZZY’S ANGEL – Slow into stride. After being caught wide in the early stages, tailed off taking no competitive part in the event. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Jockey E. Ljung advised that in her opinion the filly failed to travel throughout the event despite her hard riding and in her opinion was very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer’s T & M Sears were advised that the filly would require a trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to returning to race.  
 
 
Race 4: K & A BUILDING COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/STANTHORPE CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400m
SPLITZ –Restrained from heels for a short distance approaching the 850m when HIDDEN BUDGET shifted in. Jockey S. Sweeney (the rider of HIDDEN BUDGET) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR.131(a).
RITCHFORD – Slow to begin.
MARLAHN – Raced three wide without cover in the early and middle stages.
Race 5: COUNTRY CLUB / LIQUOR LEGENDS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1400m
DE BANDIT VEGA – Apprentice J. Morrow was fined $400 under AR.143(14)(a) for failing to claim his full allowance.
