Race 1: Members Class B Handicap 1075m

MARQUANT – Declared a late scratching at 12pm when there was no rider available.

FAY ELEMENT – Declared a late scratching at 12pm when there was no rider available.

LENNON’S PADDOCK – Slow into stride. Bumped on numerous occasions when SPRING CREEK attempted a run to the inside near the 400 metres.

SALTY’S BOY – Reared slightly as the start was effected. Over raced in the early stages until the gelding obtained a position outside the lead.

BAUHINIA STORM – Bumped on jumping. Raced four wide without cover.

LA VOGLIA – Bumped on jumping. Raced three wide without cover.

SPRING CREEK – Held up momentarily near the 400 metres. App. T Doyle reported that the mare had been accidentally struck by another rider’s whip near the 250 metres.

Race 2: Owners & Trainers BenchMark 65 Handicap 1200m

BELORUM – Slow to begin.

PENNY SHARES – Bumped shortly after the start. Over raced near the 1000 metres and was obliged to steady from the heels of SHORTSPRESSO.

RED WEDDING – Bumped shortly after the start and dipped slightly. Dipped again near the 600 metres.

ESPIRIT LIGHT – Jockey R Achini was permitted to ride a half kilogram overweight. Raced three wide without cover and laid in under pressure near the 200 metres before being corrected by its rider.

MAGIC SCENE – Laid in for a short distance from near the 200 metres.

Race 3: Simmons Bakery BenchMark 50 Handicap 1600m

TRUST ISSUES – Slow to begin.

LUCKY TICKET – Raced three wide without cover until near the 1000 metres.

Following this event, App. G Hayes was stood down from his remaining engagements by ambulance personnel. App. Hayes was advised that he would require a medical clearance prior to his next race ride.

Race 4: Christmas Races December 1 Maiden Plate 800m

JUST ROSIE – Declared a late scratching at 2:55pm when App. G Hayes was stood down by ambulance personnel and there was no other rider available. All wagers placed prior to 2:55 pm were subject to the following deductions:

16 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
18 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets for the winner
18 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets

EDGEROI GAMBLER – Slow to begin.

RAINBOW SPARKLES – Began awkwardly. Hampered near the 300 metres when THREE SOCKS hung in.

MEG’S INHERITANCE – Shifted out on jumping. Hampered near the 300 metres when THREE SOCKS hung in.

FRENCH OUTLAW – Slow to begin and raced ungenerously in the early stages.

THREE SOCKS – Hung in for a short distance when rounding the turn near the 300 metres and slightly hampered MEG’S INHERITANCE and RAINBOW SPARKLES.


Race 5: XXXX BenchMark 60 Handicap 800m

WALSHIE – Jockey J Missen replaced App. G Hayes as he was stood down.

ART’S GOT A GUN – Shifted out on jumping and bumped SOCIETY QUEEN. Approaching the 300 metres was eased when racing in restricted room.

BAGGER MUSCLES – Bumped near the 700 metres by ART’S GOT A GUN.

SOCIETY QUEEN – Bumped on jumping.
