Race 1: EMPLOYEE ME CLASS 1 PLATE – 1300M
 
RED WEDDING – Laid out from leaving the 800m.
 
TARWYN BLUE – Trainer S. Kirkwood was reprimanded for the late declaration of K. Yoshida as rider. In determining penalty, Stewards took into consideration Mr. Kirkwood’s prior good record in relation to this rule. Slow to begin. Steadied from heels shortly after the start. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
BRIDGET’S DIARY – Hung out rounding the home turn. Jockey J. Oliver was reprimanded for failing to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
FIRST WITNESS – Became fractious shortly prior to the start being effected, and then reared at the start and lost considerable ground. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Trainer J. Thomas was advised that a warning will be placed on the mare.
 
SAGRE’S POINT – Declared a late scratching at 7.41am. Trainer B. Loakes was fined $100 for failing to scratch the mare by the prescribed time pending submissions tendered by him in relation to this matter.
 
KING’S MEN – Steadied from heels shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 2: ACTSCARE HOUSING BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1200M
 
RIDEONABIGJETPLANE – Steadied from heels shortly after the start.
 
TRIPLE ARROW – Raced 3 wide throughout. When questioned by Stewards regarding the performance, jockey L. Dittman advised that after being caught wide in the early stages his mount commenced to overrace and failed to settle. He added that, in his opinion, the gelding did not handle the Toowoomba track today, and would be better suited when able to settle on the speed. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
I LIKE CANDY – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Jockey P. Timbery was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
BEAU TIRAGE – Slow to begin. Raced keenly with its head in the air in the early and middle stages.
 
GENERAL COS – Slow to begin. Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
DREAM OF ASCOT – Apprentice B. Nothdurft was reminded of his obligations regarding use of the whip in consecutive strides.
 
OKANAGAN MISS – Bumped by another runner on jumping away. Raced 3 wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no significant findings.
 
KOPELLA – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
WINNING KISS – Steadied when placed in restricted room leaving the 800m.
 
DAYTIME DANCER – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer P. Kalinowski advised that she will now give consideration to the horse’s future in her stable. Nevertheless, Ms. Kalinowski was advised that the horse must participate in two consecutive barrier trials to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.
 
MAKE A RULER – Raced wide until leaving the 700m.
 
Race 3: ACCESS INSULATION CLASS 3 PLATE – 1000M
 
COLPO DI TAMBURO – Steadied when placed in restricted room near the 900m.
 
CLASSIC BEAU – Tightened for room on jumping away.
 
MOGADOR – Tightened for room on jumping away.
 
ACCEPTILE – Bumped by another runner near the 600m.
 
MY LITTLE DIVA – Raced wide without cover for the majority. Steadied from heels near the 400m.
 
WICCAN REDE – Steadied to avoid heels passing the 600m. Shifted out and bumped another runner near the 600m. Held up from rounding the home turn until the 200m.
 
Race 4: HYGAIN MAIDEN H’CAP – 1200M
 
CHIPO – Slow to begin.
 
LOPE DE LADY – Began awkwardly.
 
UBIRR ROCK – When questioned by Stewards, jockey E. Ljung advised that when entering the home straight she was presented with a run to the inside of ACEPLAY (App. A. Thompson), however when that horse shifted in, her mount was held up and disappointed for a run until securing clear running near the 100m. She added that, in her opinion, her mount is better suited when it can maintain momentum. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
HARRY’S ME BOY – Inconvenienced shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
BOOMTOWN BABE – Slow to begin.
 
CORKONIAN – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority.
 
ENCHANTED REIGN – Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
IGNITE THE MAGIC – Bumped on jumping away.
 
THELLYSON – Slow to begin.
 
TIGERPOWER – Shifted out when being ridden under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
Race 5: SHANNON SIGN COMPANY QTIS 3YO CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M
 
CAPTIVATED – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout. Shifted in abruptly near the 300m and had to be steadied.
 
ENTERPRISE GRAND – Momentarily held up upon entering the home straight.
 
KING BART – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Made contact with the running rail near the 900m.
 
AMORE DANZA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be exhibiting an abnormal upper respiratory noise and a poor post-race recovery. The trainer’s representative was advised that the filly will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, prior to its next race start.
 
ALL SHIRAZ – Shifted out when disappointed for a run leaving the 200m.
 
HALLSIDE FANDANGO – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Tightened for room and eased upon entering the home straight when ENTERPRISE GRAND (Beau Appo) shifted out to secure clear running. Jockey Appo was reprimanded as a result of this incident.
 
SEMAPHORE GIRL – Shifted out when disappointed for a run upon entering the home straight. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
VISERION – Had to be steadied from heels whilst racing keenly near the 1000m.
 
Race 6: HAPPY 21ST DRAMA QUEEN BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1850M
 
LI’L RODGE – Whilst racing keenly near the 1200m, the gelding shifted out to a 3 wide position to avoid heels until regaining cover near the 1000m.
 
DELANEY’S DESIRE – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
WESTBROOK WARRIOR – Began awkwardly.
 
BLACKMAILER – A pre-race veterinary examination, which was undertaken at the request of the trainer, revealed that the gelding had a significant laceration in its mouth. The gelding was declared a late scratching at 6.55pm on veterinary advice.
 
THERE’S NEMO – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
SAGRE’S POINT – Stewards permitted the late declaration of B. Stower as rider.
 
Race 7: ROCK TRADE INDUSTRIES MAIDEN PLATE – 870M
 
The start of this race was delayed when ANDIAMO MISS became fractious and reared over during the preliminary, dislodged its rider and galloped a considerable distance before being recaptured. The filly was declared at late scratching at 8.15pm on veterinary advice. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on ANDIAMO MISS be refunded, with following deductions to apply to successful wagers:
 
6 cents in the dollar for the Win #2
6 cents in the dollar for place of winner #2
18 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
8 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #10
 
A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed a small laceration to its poll. Trainer M. Kropp was advised that the filly will require a veterinary clearance and must barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming racing.
 
IMABARMAN – Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
JACKSON STORM – Laid in for the majority of the home straight and brushed the running rail approaching the 100m.
 
LEWCALA – Began awkwardly and was then tightened for room shortly after the start. Hung out throughout and, as a result, raced wide throughout. Apprentice H. Phillips reported that her breast plate broke on jumping away and, as a result, her saddle slipped back placing her at a disadvantage.
 
SWIFTLY MANGO – Held up rounding the home turn until entering the home straight.
 
TSANI TOPAZ – Shifted out to obtain clear running leaving the 100m.
 
SPIRIT’S FIRST – Began awkwardly, and was then tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Held up rounding the home turn until entering the home straight.
