GENERAL
As Jockey J. Woodhouse was overweight for all his rides at todays meeting, he was subsequently replaced. Replacements as per stewards summary. Jockey Woodhouse was subsequently fined $300 under AR190(3) for accepting three rides whist overweight.
Race1: CAPETONE TOOWOOMBA Class 3 plate 1000m
HEART OF KINGS – Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
HALLSIDE HOT STUFF – Blundered upon jumping and as a result shifted out abruptly.
No further racing incidents.
Race 2: ENTERPRISE LEGAL Maiden Handicap 1000m
HOLLYWOOD AL – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Steady from heels at the 800m when another runner to the outside shifted in.
NORSE MYTHOLOGY – Bumped another runner upon jumping. Approaching the 800m was forced to steady to avoid heels when THINKLIKELIGHTENING was taken in by EVASIVE LIGHT. Jockey C. Small the rider EVASIVE LIGHT was issued a severe reprimand under AR.131(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of runners to the inside. In determining penalty stewards took into account Jockey Small’s exemplary prior record.
EVASIVE LIGHT – Raced with its head in the air for a short distance leaving the 800m.
UNSURE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
CAMARILLO – Began awkwardly.
THINKLIKELIGHTENING – Taken in at the 800m by another runner to the outside.
PURPLE GEM – Jumped with its head in the air. Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground.
KNUCKLE BOX – Shifted in at the 800m forcing another runner inwards.
Race 3: FINDEX TOOWOOMBA Benchmark 52 Handicap 1300m
PRETTY SONG – Hung out rounding the home turn.
RYANO – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
LUNAR LUSTRE – Began awkwardly.
NO DOUBT A LADY – In the early stages, raced with its head in the air whilst being restrained in an attempt to obtain cover. Leaving the 1000m was allowed to stride forward, obtaining a position outside the leader leaving the 900m.
Race 4: LASER CLINICS AUSTRALIA Class 1 Handicap 1650m
SARASUN – Due to the short back up after the starting at Toowoomba on Saturday 31st of October the gelding underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start. Stewards accepted the explanation of trainer N. Nolan for the late rider declaration.
SCHWARZY – Fractious in barriers.
BLACKMAILER – Reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Trainer K. Jones was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding.
I KNOW YVES – Began awkwardly.
PLATINUM DEAL – Jockey N. Masuda was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use fo the whip six times prior to the 100m.
Race 5: FINDEX CONSULTING Ratings Band 0-52 Handicap 1110m
STRYKING PRINCESS - Due to the short back up after the starting at Dalby on Saturday 31st of October the gelding underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start.
PRIVATE PROFIT – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
EMMABROOKE – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
MARRIED IN VEGAS – Began awkwardly.
LADY SELKIE – Began awkwardly.
