Hampered shortly after the start when tightened for room between runners. Held up in the early stages of the straight and altered course to the outside near the 200m. M. McGillivray was questioned regarding why he did not take a run between TIYATROLANI and LIPSYNC after leaving the 300m. He stated that whilst the run opened for him momentarily, his mount was laying in and not in a position to capitalise on the run before it closed. The explanation was noted.
