Raced three wide without cover throughout. Laid inwards over the final 100m and in so doing brushed FASANO over the concluding stages.
Overraced in the middle stages. Bumped on a number of occasions over the concluding stages when CREATOR shifted in under pressure.
Overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up in the early part of the straight. When questioned regarding his riding over the concluding stages, jockey J. McDonald stated that he was concerned with the gelding as it had made an abnormal respiratory noise, however he felt he had ridden his mount out to the end of the race. Jockey McDonald was reminded of his obligations to ensure he rides his mounts out to the end of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
Had to be eased near the 1300m when tightened for room between FASANO, which shifted in, and AUTOCRATIC, which shifted out slightly when overracing.
Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Raced three wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to the lead near the 900m.
The veterinary surgeon reported the presence of blood in the horse’s mouth post-race.
Slow to begin and as a result settled at the rear of the field which is in contrast to its usual racing pattern.
Overraced in the early stages.
