Lloyd reported that his mount did not show any early speed and as a result settled further back than anticipated and after being held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight ran home only fairly. He added that the gelding is better suited when able to race up on the speed in a more genuinely run race and over a further distance than that of today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
